In its first 10-episode season, the Preacher TV show was AMC’s fourth highest rated series in the 18-49 year old demo and ranked fifth, in terms of total viewers. Because of that, it is really no surprise that AMC renewed it for an expanded second season of 13 episodes. Will their faith be rewarded? Will Preacher be cancelled or renewed for season three? Stay tuned.
A darkly comedic AMC supernatural drama from creators Sam Catlin, Evan Goldberg, and Seth Rogen, Preacher stars Dominic Cooper, Joseph Gilgun, Ruth Negga, Ian Colletti, and Graham McTavish. Noah Taylor, Pip Torrens, Julie Ann Emery, Malcolm Barrett, Justin Prentice, and Ronald Guttman join in the second season. AMC teases that Preacher season two follows West Texas preacher Jesse Custer (Cooper), along with his badass ex-girlfriend Tulip (Negga) and Irish vampire Cassidy (Gilgun) as they take off on a road trip to find God. This thrusts them into a twisted battle spanning Heaven, Hell and everywhere in between.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s chances of staying on the air. The higher the ratings, the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available.

For comparisons: The first season of Preacher averaged a 0.62 in the 18-49 year old viewer demographic and 1.675 total viewers.

Some people do not know when to stop. This show is bereft of anything orginal, entertaining or creative to say but instead of admitting this they stoop to outrageous offence. Not clever, not funny just trash. Sorry but this needs to be cancelled.
I was a big fan but E10 has crossed every line !!!!. I will never watch or support this series.

I was getting into the show and no I never saw the comic. If I did I wouldn’t have even watched it to begin with. There are lines you never cross. Portraying my Savior and Lord as a fornicator was t.v. suicide and the show should be crucified.. Crucify Preacher!
What happened? Jumped the shark almost minutes into the second season. Terrible pacing — flat exposition — only scattered fun. The Ennis source material is so rich, deep and amusing that almost anybody could adapt it successfully. Too bad: a terrific cast, but as the numbers dwindle, this is heading for certain cancellation.
please renew,, it’s so original and hilarious. I’m not religious so maybe that’s why I’m not offended buy it, but come on people, it’s a SHOW, stop crying and grow a sense of humor. I love the gory scenes and how hell is, I would really not want to go to that hell. I’m sure AMC already realized viewers would drop because of snowflakes and political correctiveness of some people. keep it going, it’s a riot to watch. It doesn’t matter if it’s cancelled or renewed, my wife and I have removed it from our DVR to record as we’ll no longer be watching. In the beginning we enjoyed the show and continued to watch this season. However, I became numb as I watched the episode with Jesus having sex… Seth, you may think you did something funny with this episode, but I can no longer be part of your journey. Best to you all. JB

I used to like this show, but it has devolved into tryhard edginess. I’m an atheist. I don’t care about Jesus being depicted as having sex. What I do care about is the necessary “wackiness” where he’s speaking perfect English with an American accent using slang that we’ve only been using for a few years–all set to modern music. Jesus saying, “Chill bro,” isn’t funny–it’s just ‘zany’ and begging for laughs. AMC, stop your insults on the christian population in america, this was a good show but like every other station, you had to cross the line.!! no more preacher for me.!! just my opinion.!! ps, look at your ratings, syfy got cocky too, look at their ratings now. free advice.

Renew! I personally like it better that the walking dead. And that’s saying alot. Being it was my first love. As for the Church get over it people it is a tv show from a comic.
