It looks like the Project Blue Book TV series is going MIA. Deadline reports that the scripted TV show has been cancelled after two seasons.
Airing on the History cable channel, the Project Blue Book TV series stars Aidan Gillen, Michael Malarkey, Neal McDonough, Michael Harney, Laura Mennell, and Ksenia Solo. The show is inspired by the personal experiences of Dr. J. Allen Hynek (Gillen), a brilliant college professor. He was recruited by the U.S. Air Force to spearhead the Project Blue Book clandestine operation. He’s partnered with Air Force Captain Michael Quinn (Michael Malarkey). In season two, they quest for the truth and delve deeper into themes of global conspiracy, look at how UFOs have impacted the evolution of the nation’s military practices and technology and lean into the nostalgia of the 1950s.
The second season of Project Blue Book averaged a 0.21 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 1.30 million viewers. Compared to season one, that’s down by 32% in the demo and down by 22% in viewership. The final episode aired on March 24th.
History’s Knightfall has also been cancelled after two seasons so this leaves Vikings as the channel’s only remaining scripted series. That show is currently in its sixth and final season with the final 10 episodes still waiting to be scheduled.

loved project bluebook the stories were improving and even my wife who is not normally a sci-fi fan enjoyed the series what a shame it has been cancelled it is hardly worth investing time watching american tv series because the shows are not giving a chance to get going.
Project Blue Book is one of the best shows on TV!! It’s actually unique and has a lot of intrigue. I watched it every week and always looked forward to the next episode. I’m very disappointed that it has been cancelled.
Please bring it back, maybe Netflix would take it on, intriguing show

This was my number one go-to tv show. I am disappointed with the History Channel on this one.

This was a show I always looked forward to seeing. I have been anxiously waiting for the new season to start. It was about the only thing on that wasn’t junk.

I am sorry to see that there will not be a third season, I have enjoyed this show and feel that it is one of the most underrated and overlooked series that has been screened in a long time. I was secretly hoping that if it went on for longer we might have seen a certain Fox Mulder as a young boy.

OMG I’m crushed, devastated – I LUVED that series. Perfect casting of every role. Scenery and graphics and set design were A+++, major movie budget quality. They managed to somehow insert every facet of the convoluted power struggles and mis-information campaigns. I recorded to watch twice – and picked-up even more references. What was the problem? Too much information for the 18-49s to handle? Or do they just not want to know the truth?
Would loe to watch a third season of blue book!! Just in case do they take world wide watching into consideration?? Go Scotland!
