It looks like the Project Blue Book TV series is going MIA. Deadline reports that the scripted TV show has been cancelled after two seasons.
Airing on the History cable channel, the Project Blue Book TV series stars Aidan Gillen, Michael Malarkey, Neal McDonough, Michael Harney, Laura Mennell, and Ksenia Solo. The show is inspired by the personal experiences of Dr. J. Allen Hynek (Gillen), a brilliant college professor. He was recruited by the U.S. Air Force to spearhead the Project Blue Book clandestine operation. He’s partnered with Air Force Captain Michael Quinn (Michael Malarkey). In season two, they quest for the truth and delve deeper into themes of global conspiracy, look at how UFOs have impacted the evolution of the nation’s military practices and technology and lean into the nostalgia of the 1950s.
The second season of Project Blue Book averaged a 0.21 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 1.30 million viewers. Compared to season one, that’s down by 32% in the demo and down by 22% in viewership. The final episode aired on March 24th.
History’s Knightfall has also been cancelled after two seasons so this leaves Vikings as the channel’s only remaining scripted series. That show is currently in its sixth and final season with the final 10 episodes still waiting to be scheduled.

My wife and I really enjoy Project Blue Book. We would love to see a season 3 and 4 and 5 and 6 and so on. Please bring back this show.

Please do a Season 2 of Project Blue Book – more people would love it if they knew about it – until the launch of Peacock TV – I didn’t even know the show existed – give it another go please – it is good smart television
I absolutely love Project Blue Book! I’ve watched seasons 1 & 2 about 3 times now since the end of season 2, & have been so anxious to watch season 3! I couldn’t believe it when I found out that the show got cancelled! I mean are you kidding me!?!? Why?!?! The show is so captivating, & keeps you in suspense waiting anxiously for the next weeks episode! PLEASE, PLEASE BRING PROJECT BLUE BOOK BACK FOR A 3rd SEASON!!!
Very disappointed that it was canceled I’ve been waiting for it and just decided to look today if there was any news and it was cancelled.I couldn’t wait for season 3 I’m like really depressed about it. It was one of the few shows I really liked I hope somebody picks it up
I am very disappointed that Project Blue Book was cancelled. It’s true events based story lines were engaging, and very interesting. I watched both seasons faithfully. Please consider bringing it back!
Seems as if after season 2 started you put season 1 behind a paywall. Those of us who try to get into the series met that obstacle. Wasn’t until it came out on peacock did I re-engage. Excellent series. Very well done. Would have continued to watch for years.
Omg this is an amazing show! I like that it’s based on true events. Please reconsider renewing for another season. There are still a lot of stories to tell!

Very upsetting to hear that blue book has been cancelled. I cannot believe that the ratings dropped that much. This was definitely one of the best shows ever shown on the small screen. Can’t help thinking something else is behind its demise.
I am extremely upset that Project BlueBook was cancelled. There are too many TV shows that air today that are not interesting at all. Way to many reality shows that are just not worth viewing. History came through with a winner in Project BlueBook and no it’s gone. Well History channel you just lost a viewer of your channel. Thanks for nothing.
