This dramatic series takes up the age-old question: Is death truly the end or, is there something else beyond?
Doctor Carolyn “Cat” Tyler (Jennifer Beals) has gone through some devastating changes in her life lately. She’s lost her her teenage son, seen her marriage with fellow physician Len Barliss (David Sutcliffe) break up, and she’s become estranged from her teenage daughter Sophie (Annie Thurman).
Cat is persuaded by cancer-stricken tech inventor and billionaire Ivan Turing (Matthew Modine) to investigate cases of reincarnation, near-death experiences, hauntings and other phenomena — all of it in the search for evidence that death is not the end.
It’s both a journey of exploration and a deeply personal and emotional journey for Cat, who hopes to find answers in the wake of her son’s death.
Other characters include hospital administrator Doctor Charles Russell (Joe Morton); Cat’s Sudanese intern Doctor Zedan “Zed” Badawi (Edi Gathegi); Ivan’s assistant, Janel Ramsey (Caroline Rose Kaplan); and best-selling author Peter Van Owen (Callum Blue) who claims to be psychic.
Episode #10 — Tsunami: Part Two

What do you think? Do you like the Proof TV show? Do you think it should have been cancelled or renewed for a second season?
Why is the decision to renew or cancel taking this long. This is not the norm. Dreading
the finale. Because how can they tape a finale not knowing where they stand with a show
with this topic I love this show. Every single time I fall in love with a show it’s cancelled.
i must say i am intrigued by the acting and the thoughts that come through on this program. we can only hope for a life after death. jennifer beals could not play the part any better and matthew modine is superb. renew it, or my wife will torture the heck out of me. thanks.
GREAT CASTING WOULD NOT CHANGE THAT. WOULD LIKE TO SEE JENNIFER BEALS AND HER HUSBAND RE UNITE. A SECOND SEASON, DEFINITELY, THE FIRST SEASON OF ANY SHOW IS TERR IBLE AS WE HAVE SEEN IN THE PAST JUST ENDING YOU WANT TO CANCEL, I DO NOT BELIEVE IT SHOULD BE NOW. I DO BELIEVE THEIR IS A LIFE AFTER DEATH. HOW WONDERFUL TO SEE OUR LOVED ONES AGAIN. DON’T CANCEL IF RATINGS WERE AWFUL, WHICH THEY ARE NOT I WOULD EASE INTO CANCELLING. IT MAKES VIEWERS ANGRY BEING LEFT UP IN THE AIR.
WELL. JUST THE THOUGHT OF LIFE AFTER DEATH GIVES SOME OF US HOPE. NOT SO SCARY TO LEAVE OUR LOVED ONES ON EARTH, TO SEE OUR LOVED ONES WHEREVER THAT LIGHT LEADS IS TO SEE THOSE WHO WE LOVED, AND LOST , TO HOLD THEM, AND MAYBE SAY ALL THE THINGS WE ALWAYS SAY WE FORGOT TO SAY. YES, RENEW THIS SERIES, THE CASTING IS I BELIEVE DEAD ON. WONDERFUL EXPERIENCED ACTORS, I WAS CRUSHED WHEN THE CHICAGO CODE WAS CANCELLED, JENNIFER BEALS, WHO HAS BEEN ACTING A LONG TIME AT FIRST I THINK DID NOT BELIEVE, BUT AS THE… Read more »
Absolutely love the show. Excellent casting, thought provoking,
well written. Renew please.
Renew for sure – want to see how this show evolves.
RENEW! Fabulous acting and love the program
I really like this show. I am currently trying to deal with the death of my brother and suicide of a good friend, so it is more than just “entertainment” for me. It helps a lot to see the different perspectives of what may or may not happen after this life. So much of what is going on in the main character’s lives really speaks to me. PLEASE do not cancel!
Cancelled the show. The show suck.
I love the show “Proof”. It is intelligent, well-acted, and based on an interesting premise. Let’s leave this on instead of so many of the other truly crappy shows that seem to go on endlessly. Please, no more reality shows! Give us “Proof” instead.
RENEW please, this is such a great show! Good tv is so hard to find these days! I do think the ratings will improve if you move to 8 pm slot or switch to Weds! Mon- major crimes, tues- rizzolli and isles, Weds- proof! My week would be set!!
I stay up purposely on tues nights waiting for the show!
RENEW RENEW RENEW. Finally a show with excellent actors, writers and story. Also love that it has brilliant female surgeon, played brilliantly, intelligent black role models instead of typical stereotypes. Please keep this show on the air I never miss it.
I pretty much knew you were going to cancel the show. Let’s face it, good original television is over with. We will only get one season of most shows, and a zillion of crap shows. Switch to Netflix and Amazon I sure have. and Sundance or cable for good shows. The networks are over and they know it. Fans have gone elsewhere. I even watch podcasts now.
It has not been cancelled!
It has not been cancelled! If they would we are going to protest for the rest of our lives 😉
Do you know that for a fact. On their twitter account people are saying they are sad the
show is ending. We would have heard by now if it was renewed.
The first season is ending on Tuesday. It’s not out yet if they will renew. We started a fan base to keep Proof on air

Candace – on the website the comments are referring to end of the season. Proof has not been cancelled, but we are waiting for news about renewal.
Renew! Excellent cast. Excellent premise! Excellent writing! With Beals charisma pulling it all together. How often do you think these things come together?
If you do cancel, I just hope more experienced television execs at bigger networks will notice that you made a high risk bet on a truly original idea and when you won, instead of cashing in you have it away.
Yes! please keep proof. One of the very few interesting and innovative programs on tv
