Legal and crime dramas are a big part of the CBS schedule during the year. This summer, the network started airing another one — Reckless. Has this new TV show been a ratings success? Will it be renewed for a second season or, will it be cancelled instead?
Reckless revolves around a beautiful litigator from the north and a charming southern attorney who must hide their intense mutual attraction as a police sex scandal erupts in Charleston, South Carolina. The TV show’s cast includes Cam Gigandet, Anna Wood, Shawn Hatosy, Georgina Haig, Adam Rodríguez, Michael Gladis, Kim Wayans, and Gregory Harrison.
The series debuted in late June to just a 0.7 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 3.99 million total viewers. That was a very poor start for a scripted series — even one that airs during the summer months when expectations are lower.
Reckless’ ratings have held fairly steady and have even seen some slight improvements at times. That’s positive but the series is still the network’s lowest-rated summer series — by far. With such low ratings, it’s hard to imagine that CBS will consider renewing Reckless for a second season.
For now, CBS has only scheduled 10 of the 13 episodes. Hopefully for the loyal fans, all of the episodes will air and the series will have a satisfying conclusion.

One of the better shows I’ve watched, waited anxiously each episode to see what would happen. Really liked the relationship between the two leads. Please reconsider bringing it back.

This show was awesome!!!. One of my favorites. I cannot believe it is cancelled, very disappointed. I think cbs did not give it the hype it deserved. Most of the people I know had never even heard of it.

Everyone I spoke to would like a Season 2 of Reckless!! This was one of the better shows that I have seen in a long time. Of course I love NCIS, NCIS LA, Person of Interest, Stalker. Maybe CBS should be smart and put the show on at an earlier time!!! Reckless was like reading a good book, I could not wait until the next week to watch the new show!!! Reckless was a great show… much more interesting than some of the reality shows. Why not give it another chance? The president of CBS needed to watch a couple of episodes before acting in haste. After all, what would have happened to Cheers, if NBC had acted so hastily?

Loved the show. It did not tie up all the shows with a final ending. Very unsatisfying for us millions of viewers. Should have a one more episode with all stories with endings to them

Loved the show….how come new shows come on that don’t have half the storyline or the acting while something as good as this is cancelled? Please put this quality show back on…..and in primetime!!!
