Are you a fan of Reign? The CW TV show airs its series finale tonight, June 16th, at 9 p.m. ET/PT. But what if the show was renewed? Would you have kept watching the historical drama?
Reign centers on the turbulent life of Mary, Queen of Scots (Adelaide Kane). The cast also includes Megan Follows, Rachel Skarsten, Celina Sinden, Craig Parker, Rose Williams, Ben Geurens, Dan Jeannotte, Jonathan Goad, Spencer MacPherson, and Will Kemp.
Reign has once again struggled in the ratings during its fourth and last season. Currently, the series is averaging a 0.20 rating in the 18-49 demo and 695,000 viewers, making it one of The CW’s lowest-rated shows for the 2016-2017 season. Not to mention, it seems like many people have stopped watching Reign given the near 30% drop in ratings from season three to four.
However, even though The CW cancelled Reign , it seems there was still plenty of story to tell. Earlier, series creator Laurie McCarthy shared some of her ideas for the future of the show had it been renewed:
You could just go on and on, particularly with Elizabeth and Catherine. And there could have been a very strong fifth season with Mary, following the trajectory of her third marriage, which was to Bothwell. In Scotland, we would have told a tale that was as much as a western as a political drama; she’d be on the run, there would be sieges, there would be a falling out with her brother — there’s a lot that we would have loved to have gotten our arms around. And with Catherine, there was a daughter we had yet to meet whose wedding left Paris running with blood. There was truly a lot.”

Even though not exactly historically correct. I thoroughly enjoyed the series and am currently watching it again on Netflix. I would definitely have watched a fifth and more seasons.
YES! I just found this series on Netflix and LoVE! Can’t believe it had low ratings. The acting and storylines are truly amazing! Sad to see it end!!
It’s an excellent series, I watch from South Africa and can’t wait for next season 5 to start!
They should have continued reign i would have loved to watch
Yes I would I would love to have seen what happened to Sebastian and Charles I know it was based on true events but I think you good have added some more like Mary’s son coming to her aid and not getting her beheaded until later on I think you could’ve went on for a few more seasons I actually love shows that are based on truth thank you for let me give you my Opinion

I love Reign and would be thrilled if you bring the show back. Also would love another season of The Originals and Vampire Diaries, hated these shows being cancelled, the shows and acting are wonderful and captivating.

If you have Netflix and were hooked on Reign you Might want to try watching the white queen and the white princess. The only problem is both were one and done with one season and canceled. It seems they also prematurely canceled another popular show in Reign. Get with it networks can’t you see we all appreciate great casting, costuming, locations with this theme. Heck yeah I found it on Netflix and even searched everywhere and found this no more show so sad…everything about the show was perfect had me on edge whats gonna happen next like last episode
