The show about people returning from the dead — is now dead itself. ABC has cancelled their Resurrection TV series after two seasons on the air.
On Resurrection, a small town in Missouri is turned upside down when long-dead loved ones return after 30 years. The cast includes Omar Epps, Frances Fisher, Matt Craven, Devin Kelley, Mark Hildreth, Samaire Armstrong, Sam Hazeldine, Landon Gimenez, and Kurtwood Smith.
The series debuted well but the ratings declined over the course of its first season — averaging a 2.52 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 9.32 million viewers. The network brought it back anyway and the second season debut was down by more than 40% when compared to the series debut.
By the end of the second season, Resurrection’s second year ratings average was at a 1.26 rating in the demo with 4.67 million — a season-to-season decline of 50%.
The last episode aired on January 25th and sadly didn’t offer viewers a resolution to the story.

Why is it always the smart shows that get canceled? I love this show! I’m bummed. Super bummed. The cast is fantastic and the story is amazing. Let’s not renew a show that is well written and intelligent but add more stupid sit coms or reality tv! Is it too much to hope Hulu or Netflix will pick the show back up and make a third season???
I really hate that this show was canceled. I got really into the plot and was highly disappointed and upset when I found out it was canceled. This show should definitely come back on!!!
I really found this tv series riviting and very disappointed to learn that no further follow on will be made. Why do they start these programmes and then cancel. If I had known that I wouldn’t have started watching the series it is so disappointment. Will there be a season 3….please

That was my favorite new series I really wish there was another episode to explain what happened ,to give some kind of closure to it
Yes I liked it! Watched it faithfully . They should have at least had a finale. So we know nothing.
