How times have changed. Last year, Revolution looked like it was the big hit of the 2012-13 season. Now, NBC has cancelled it, according to TV Guide.
Revolution revolves around the Matheson family and others who live in a world where there is no longer any power. The cast includes Billy Burke, Tracy Spiridakos, Giancarlo Esposito, Zak Orth, David Lyons, JD Pardo, Stephen Collins, and Elizabeth Mitchell.
Following The Voice, Revolution started out very strong last year but the numbers fell as the season progressed. NBC renewed it for a full season off 22 episodes anyway and relocated it to Wednesdays at 8pm. It’s really struggled in that timeslot and this week fell to a 1.2 demo rating with 3.78 million viewers — an all-time low.
Not surprisingly, NBC has decided not to order a third season. There are two installments remaining and they will air on May 14th and May 21st. The final episode of ABC’s Mixology will also air on the latter date.
What do you think? Did you stick with Revoluton? If you ran the network, would you have cancelled the show or renewed it for a third season?
Please don’t. I love that show. 🙁
Omg noooooo NBC how could u!?!? Ratings are bound to drop when most ppl watch shows online or on netflix and hulu! So dissapointed in your network
I was soooo upset by this! I’ve been with revolution since the very first trailer came out! If I ran nbc I wouldn’t cancel REVOLUTION! I also like crisis and believe very disappointed!! If nbc didn’t have the blacklist I wouldn’t watch it at all! You stink nbc
This is the 3rd show NBC cancelled that I liked! NBC I am no longer watching shows on your channel because chances are and most likely you cancel them! I seriously hope another TV Network picks Revolution up. I still have hopes for Season 3 somewhere else!
Wish they wouldn’t cancel a show like Revolution with a lot of unanswered questions. It’s find to cancel sitcom, because each episode is not necessarily intertwined, but when you have a drama like Revolution that created questions to viewer, then it sucks never to be given the answers. Revolution should at least get a third short season to wrap it and provide some kind of ending.
Aw COM’ON!!! Believe and now Revolution? Are you guys nuts!?!
I loved it. Watched every episode. It only got better. It’s a shame it’s ending
Revolution is a great show!!! I am done with NBC.
Yup, NBC has done this too many times. They have cancelled the last three shows I watched with them before letting the show know, so it ended on cliffhangers. No more shows on NBC, if I think it may be good I can pick it up on Netflixs if it actually makes it through the entire show.
Probably cancelled because of the influence of CAIR-didn’t like the Muslim or middleastern suggestion of a rise of the Caliphate
I’m a Muslim and my friends and I enjoyed the show. I didn’t think anything about the Arabic handwriting except that it was jibberish lol. It’s the only show that I have ever watched from the first show to the last. I liked that the first season was free from sexual content I think that led a lot of women to be able to enjoy it. Maybe when they brought the idea of women as sexual objects in the middle of the second season a lot of women left, I wished they kept that type of stuff out. I liked… Read more »
Sigh… another show I like gone.
I can’t believe this isn’t renewed. But then again, it’s NBC — it has interesting characters, definite syfy energy and could have expanded for years. Really hate it when something so good is cancelled. dumb, really, dumb.
This is just crap. How much pubescent crap are they going to put on NBC? No wonder no one watches their channel. Maybe TNT or FX will pick it up cause that’s where I’ll be watching.
NBc you suck again I’m dunn
Loved this show. There is much worse on the TV, why cut something like this?? I am gutted that it won’ get a proper ending. Grrrr!
I agree with just about everything above. NBC is now officially on the do-not-watch list
