TV show description:
This dramatic science-fiction TV series explores the question “What would you do without it all?” A family struggles to reunite in an American landscape where every single piece of technology — computers, refrigerators, air conditioners, planes, cars, phones, lights — has mysteriously stopped working. Electrical power has simply gone away. The show also revolves around the idea of family — both the family you’re born into and the family you choose.
Charlie Matheson (Tracy Spiridakos) is the headstrong, curious and daring daughter of Rachel (Elizabeth Mitchell) and Ben Matheson (Tim Guinee). Ben is hiding a mysterious secret about the blackout. Maggie (Anna Lise Phillips), a medical doctor, became involved with him following his wife’s death.
When Charlie’s younger and thoughtful brother, Danny (Graham Rogers), is kidnapped by militia leaders, she must reconnect with her estranged uncle Miles Matheson (Billy Burke), a former US Marine and warrior who’s living as a recluse.
Together, with a rogue band of survivors, they set out to rescue Danny, overthrow the militia and ultimately re-establish the United States of America. All the while, they explore the enduring mystery of why the power failed and how or if it will ever return.
The rebel group includes fighter Nora (Daniella Alonso); General “Bass” Monroe (David Lyons), a former Marine who served alongside Miles; and Aaron (Zak Orth), a former Google executive and a computer genius who’s ill-prepared for the rigors of the technology-less world.
Captain Tom Neville (Giancarlo Esposito), a cultured former insurance adjuster turned Monroe Republic leader and Nate Walker (JD Pardo) is a member of the militia who has conflicted feelings for Charlie.
Episode #42 — Declaration of Independence
Miles (Billy Burke), Charlie (Tracy Spiridakos) and Monroe (David Lyons) launch an attack on the Patriots, but must improvise a risky new plan in order to halt the oncoming war between California and Texas. Out for revenge, Neville (Giancarlo Esposito) sets his sights on President Davis (guest star Cotter Smith). Meanwhile, Aaron (Zak Orth) and Rachel’s (Elizabeth Mitchell) efforts to save Priscilla (guest star Maureen Sebastian) from the nano-tech has unexpected consequences.
First aired: May 21, 2014.
What do you think? Do you like the Revolution TV series? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for another season?
It is absolutely maddening when a series gets cancelled after a cliffhanging episode!! Reward your faithful watchers with a conclusion before canceling! At least do so on DVD or something like NETFLIX. Why should we invest our time on a show just to be disappointed when with a whim you just up and cancel on us?
I was extremely upset and disappointed with the cancellation of “Revolution”. Fans were left clinging to a dramatic cliff hanger. It is so annoying to be left dangling like this. Please bring the show back. Thank you.
Please reconsider and bring this show back. Do not replace it with some senseless reality show or stupid comedy. It is a great show!!!
Why would NBC cancel this amazing show!!! Bring it back!!!!
Best show I’ve seen in a while. And you cancel it. Always ruining stuff
why did you cancel this show?! it was awesome, everything good gets cancelled, tv is really starting to suck
Revolution was a great show. Probably replace it with another useless reality show. What idiots. Very hard to find good shows on TV anymore. Might as well do away with TV all together.
Please renew I love this show so tired of reality shows
NBC bad move! Big mistake! Revolution was awesome! Bring it back!
revolution and parenthood canceled, are you people stoned or drunk, you might lose a lot of viewers.
My husband and I both enjoyed the show and was looking forward to the next season. We are very disappointed that is was cancelled. Tired of the so called reality shows.
We really enjoyed and looked forward to this show every week. Very disappointed in NBC for all the programing that is just drival, and cancel a show so many people enjoy.
I am extremely disappointed. It is the ONLY nbc show that I have watched and now it has been cancelled. NBC has shown me again how ineffective they are in the entertainment business. I have no intention of watching another NBC show.
I wholeheartedly agree with the above comments.
Par for the course, it seems like every time a new network TV series is introduced, one that actually catches my eye and holds my interest (which ain’t often), it seems like in a blink of the eye the show is cancelled and replaced by some “alternative lifestyle”, or raunchy ethnic, or a regurgitated cop show.
To the cast and crew of Revolution, thanks for your efforts. It was appreciated very much. It’s too bad the wrong network hired you all.
My husband and I loved the show. Can’t believe the show isn’t coming back. Plain and simple.
