Molly Ringwald is coming to The CW. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Breakfast Club star has joined the network’s upcoming TV series Riverdale.

The teen drama is a dark and subversive take on the classic Archie Comics characters. The cast includes Ashleigh Murray, Camila Mendes, Casey Cott, Cole Sprouse, K.J. Apa, Lili Reinhart, Luke Perry, Mädchen Amick, Madelaine Petsch, Marisol Nichols, and Sarah Habel.

Ringwald will play Archie’s (Apa) mother, Mary Andrews, who returns home after a two-year absence. Riverdale premieres on January 26th 9 p.m. ET/PT.
