It looks like Rosewood is packing it in. Today, it was revealed that the TV show had been cancelled after two seasons.
The crime drama centers on Dr. Beaumont Rosewood Jr. (Morris Chestnut), a charismatic pathologist, who teams up with tough Miami homicide detective Annalise Villa (Jaina Lee Ortiz). The cast also includes Lorraine Toussaint, Gabrielle Dennis, Anna Konkle, Domenick Lombardozzi, and Eddie Cibrian.
Despite an auspicious first season, Rosewood struggled in the ratings during season two. Overall, the sophomore season averaged a 0.66 in the 18-49 demo and 3.03 million viewers. For comparison. season one earned an average rating of 1.34 in the 18-49 demo and 4.79 million viewers. That’s a near 50% drop in the ratings. It seems fans of the FOX series didn’t stick around for season two.

I really liked and watched Rosewood. FOX screwed up when it moved the show to Friday night. Rosewood was doomed the moment the show moved to Friday!
I think it is ridiculous – I loved this show. If it ratings dropped it is because you moved it’s day and time slot! Why? It was fun and entertaining! So disappointed in Fox!!!

THIS SUCKS!!!! I knew deep down this was gonna happen the minute they moved the show to Friday night – it belonged on Wednesdays before Empire. And it ended on a cliffhanger too – booooooooo on Fox (also didn’t give Pitch a proper chance either – which was a good show).

They should have NEVER cancelled this show. One of the best on television. It is sooooo much better than Lethal Weapon or any other of the new shows that have come out. Morris and Jaina had an excellent chemistry and made the show great!!
I have waited for Rosewood to return only to find out that it was cancelled… I agree it NEVER should have been cancelled. There are others that should be… Lethal Weapon… Kevin…. NCIS (without Tony and Ziva it was sunk)…. why would you cancel Rosewood!!! Bring it back!
