Nobody’s safe. CBS has cancelled its Salvation TV show after two seasons. During the second season, which finished its run on September 17, 2018, the science fiction thriller’s ratings dropped significantly, so the Salvation cancellation has been expected.
A CBS suspense drama, Salvation stars Santiago Cabrera, Jennifer Finnigan, Charlie Rowe, Jacqueline Byers, Melia Kreiling, Ashley Thomas, and Ian Anthony Dale. The story centers MIT graduate student Liam Cole (Rowe) and tech genius Darius Tanz (Cabrera), who discover that in six months, a huge asteroid will crash into the Earth. In season two, the truth is out. Now that it is no longer a secret, the impeding threat will elicit both the best and worst from humanity.
Salvation: A Look at the Ratings
The second season of Salvation averaged a 0.33 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 2.67 million viewers. It was down by 36^ amd 24%, respectively, in comparison to season one, it is down by 36% and 24%. Check out how Salvation stacks up against the other CBS TV shows.
TV By the Numbers reports CBS has confirmed Salvation is cancelled.

i would have liked to have seen a season 3. i like this much better than some of the other garbage they air.
Too bad they canceled the show. We really liked it. Maybe Netflix will pick it up like they did for Designated Survivor. I think this is a better show than that one

I cannot believe u have done this again. Every time I get interested in a series, CBS cancels it. Why can’t u give these shows a chance?? U just quickly cancel them. Salvation was a really good show.
I agree a great show and totally wrong that an audience gets interested in a show and then the company just drops it because a few people less decide not to watch it! What about the shows fans!!!
I really liked this show and encouraged my students to watch it. Very sad to see it’s been canceled.

I really liked this TV show. Although I am from England, it is still on of my favourite shows to watch on Netflix. I really hope that we somehow get more seasons of this INCREDIBLE show and, to CBS, you really need to think things through.
CBS should really think twice about cancelling a show that people liked just because those who are Nielsen households have no taste. I used to watch CBS exclusively but, if they’re going to keep cancelling all the shows I like, maybe I should just see what the other networks have to offer. Seems CBS only care about numbers anyway so, CBS, subtract 1 person from your viewership.

Noooooo! I can’t believe it! We’ve only just gotten the second Season here in Australia just to see that there will be no Season 3! I was looking forward to seeing what kind of Aliens were about to arrive on earth… Boooo to the creators of this show!
