CBS has cancelled its Scorpion TV show after four seasons. The season, which began with a musical episode, weill be this series’ swan song.
A CBS action drama, Scorpion stars Elyes Gabel, Katharine McPhee, Eddie Kay Thomas, Jadyn Wong, Ari Stidham, Robert Patrick, Riley B. Smith, Andy Buckley, Jamie McShane, Joshua Leonard, Dan Dratch, and Scott Porter. Inspired by a real-life computer expert, the series centers on Walter O’Brien (Gabel) and his team of brilliant misfits. Team Scorpion is the country’s last line of defense against lurking high-tech threats.
Scorpion: A Look at the Ratings
The fourth season of Scorpion is averaging a 0.81 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 5.26 million viewers. Compared to season three, that’s down by about 32% and down by 27%, respectively. By both measures, Scorpion is consistently among the lowest rated scripted CBS TV shows.
All told, today CBS cancelled two TV shows: Superior Donuts and Scorpion. The network also renewed five series: Criminal Minds (season 14); Man With a Plan (season three); Life in Pieces (season four); Instinct (season two); and Big Brother: Celebrity Edition (season two).
UPDATE: CBS has cancelled Kevin Can Wait and has renewed Elementary for season seven.
Deadline has confirmed the Scorpion cancellation.

I am genuinely so sad & annoyed. I understand if you’d like to cancel a show, but why cancel it without giving your viewers some kind of closure? Why would you end it like that? I wish I knew this before starting to watch it. I don’t usually google anything because I don’t like any spoilers. I loved the science in the show! It’s a show that’s SO different from everything out there. This is exactly why will not watch a new series. You watch a show for years and then they end it without all the dramas being resolved.
Please bring back Scorpion! At least it is a different type of show instead of all the cop shows! It has some intriguing plot lines and appeals to wider audience. Please, please!
Bring Scorpion back as a sequel series or make NCIS: LA/Scorpion crossover episodes, please.
I would not have watched all the seasons if I had known they were going to end it this way. What a let down.
Don’t cancel shows that bring some family togetherness and teach some kind of lesson to the listeners. The Nielsen rating don’t always make the right decisions of what folks actually watch . Need to bring back the older shows . Examples: Scorpion, man from uncle, get smart, wild Bill, Hickok, tug boat Annie, – to many game shows, Talk shows.ect
It has to comeback just for even 10 episodes but it has to end in the right way

I love Scorpion. I think in helps explain the mind set of people like them to the world. And when the world sees it (the show) there won’t be so much ostersizing. Then the world becomes a better place. Plus there hilarious. Good clean entertainment. PLEASE put them back on!!!!!

bring it back who cares what the 18 -30 group watches . oh they don’t watch anything except the garbage reality shows. the older generations deserve more respect as to what we watch. I say cancel all the reality shows they stink.

The show ended just like a silly anime . Can’t believe a show of intellects which showed me how functional and important the brain, that taught me that even without money your brain can still help billions of people couldn’t be given a second chance… So sad. I wished I never watched it… I’m really depressed about the cancellation. CBS just one more season, please one more.
They can ‘t stop like that!! It has to end well they don ‘t have to do a whole season but at least an episode this is just impossible it is wrong. Cruel!
