CBS had been filling the Mondays at 9pm timeslot with sitcoms for years and years. Now, they’re trying a new drama — Scorpion. Will this change be a ratings success? Will the show be renewed for a second season? Will it be cancelled? Stay tuned.
Based on real-life events, Scorpion revolves around computer expert Walter O’Brien (Elyes Gabel) and his team of brilliant misfits. They’re this country’s last line of defense against complex, high-tech threats. The series also stars Katharine McPhee, Robert Patrick, Eddie Kaye Thomas, Jadyn Wong, and Ari Stidham.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — usually the next day, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.
1/12 update: Scorpion and two other shows have been renewed for a second season by CBS.
Final season averages: 2.3 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 10.96 million total viewers.
Note: If you’re not seeing the updated chart, please try reloading the page or view it here.
Due to a Nielsen glitch, some of the early ratings of the 2014-15 season were revised a few weeks later.
Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.
What do you think? Do you like the Scorpion TV series? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for a second season?
Started off good but writing has gotten progressively sillier, less plausible and laughable.
The numbers support my opinion .
They need new writers or it’s GOIN’ DOWN . Too bad because the cast is good
My husband and I really, really love this show!!
Our favorite show….please don’t cancel!!
I really love this show it should be renewed
I think this production is a good premise and should be expanded with better writing.
Please save this show, please do better!!!
Last night I threw in the towel on Scorpion. It started with potential, but… for a show based on the life of a genius, Scorpion is remarkably stupid, and increasingly so as the season progresses. The plot events designed to heighten/sustain the peril are better suited for a kids’ cartoon, and the SOLUTIONS to those dilemmas are absolutely preposterous. And whatever happened to the plotlines regarding Paige’s son? Still in the opening sequence, but… If you enjoy this show, more power to you, to each his own, etc., but I’m going to find a better way to spend that particular… Read more »
Worst writing I’ve seen. I like the premise but the writing was so horrible I actually thought of the old TV show the A Team! I believe this one is worse! Why? Well, take the last episode I watched, and the last I will watch. One, when you are sitting in a bulletproof SUV and the one of the two bad guys puts down his gun and picks up his sledgehammer, it is a good time to jump out and kill them. Better, when you stick a bunch of shotguns shells into the heating element??? and somehow it explodes, knocking… Read more »
This needs writing directing It coud be a very good show
Love love love it. Begs credulity, but love all of the people. Great actors great characters. I would be so sad if it were cancelled. It is bigtime fun.
What the hell has happened to Scorpion? I thought last weeks episode was the worst script to ever hit TV. I stand corrected. The script for the 3-9 show was either written by a 10 year old or someone suffering from a massive stroke. The first 16 episodes were entertaining & within the necessary suspension of belief, required to watch any scripted show. This one, however, was insulting to the viewer on many many levels from the idiotic opening…the entire premise…the location of the meet…Paige’s role…the State Dept imbecile…the head of security…the poisoning…the escape…the taco truck…CRAWLING thru the ceiling to… Read more »
Keep the show–it’s good. Better music though….
It’s fun.
My husband and I both love this show!!! Please keep it up!
Renew
They should definitely renew it. This is a very interesting show.
I REALLY REALLY love this show …..SCOTT
While I’ll admit that I really enjoyed the show, it’s almost entirely irrefutable that Walter O’Brien is a fraud.
He hasn’t just exaggerated his accomplishments or credentials, but entirely fabricated them.

Yeah that drives me nuts… when it says “based on the life” that was a deliberate choice to mislead people. If Walter O’Brien is one of the consulting or executive producers on this show, he’s the one who is making that choice – and it’s deplorable that he would blatantly misrepresent himself as having done something even close to the kind of outrageously heroic stuff that Walter does in the show. However, that doesn’t take any of the credit away from the show writers and cast, who do an excellent job of bringing me one of the most entertaining hours… Read more »
Two things that I think people keep misunderstanding is that First, this is an action/adventure program and not a documentary and Second, based on does not mean autobiographical or even biographical.
They just need to accept it for what it is, good family oriented “TV” programming and stop sweating the details……..
