TV show description:
In this sitcom, Sean (Sean Hayes) is a divorced dad who’s trying to juggle his career and family life. From his overbearing boss and offbeat employees at work, to his pushy mom and weekends with his teenage daughter Ellie (Samantha Isler), handling it all is no easy task.
When his quick-witted 14-year-old daughter wants to move in full-time, life gets even more complicated. Never one to do anything halfway, Sean’s intent on being the best dad ever. He loads up on parenting how-to books and plans topic-filled family dinners.
But his company’s new owner, Max (Thomas Lennon), has decided Sean and his team should work longer hours, throwing a kink in his perfectly constructed homemaking plans.
A normal girl, Ellie wants to hang with her friends and eat on the run, sees this development as a plus. She loves her dad, but he’s clearly going overboard.
From keeping his boss happy and enduring the tactless “advice” from his mother Lorna (Linda Lavin), to raising a smart, grounded and healthy kid, it’s a growing experience for Sean to say the least.
Thankfully, he finds some support in co-workers like artistic Hunter (Echo Kellum) and Liz (Megan Hilty), his loyal friend who used to be a therapist.
Episode #15 — The Dark Sean Rises
Sean meets Max’s fencing coach, Liam (guest Guy Pearce), who secretly likes being a superhero. Sean tries to meet his every demand, which often ends up with him being hurt, and Lorna becomes vocal in trying to stop the two of them. Meanwhile, Liz gets mad at Sean for stealing her man and tries to sabotage their relationship.
First aired: March 24, 2014 (released online only)
What do you think? Do you like the Sean Saves the World TV series? Do you think it should have been cancelled or renewed for another season?
Someone overlooked cancelling the 85 plus idiotic nonsense reality shows.. Very poor judgment call cancelling “Sean saves the world”. This was one of the best comedies of everyday life, shows on TV. Sean and the entire cast were hilarious!!!! This was one show I allowed my children to watch (with me) and they too would laugh hysterically. Very disappointing.
Oh No Yall Did Not!!!!
Bring It Back and I Mean Noooooooow!!!!
Please.
I am really disappointed that this has been cancelled. This show was really fun. It’s getting to the point why bother watching TV, everything but reality or fantasy stuff are the only choices. Should’ve given this a little more time.
ooohh NOooooo this is the reason why i dont watch shows until there on the 3rd season, all my shows i like get cancel.
I found this show to be awesome!! Why are the good shows canceled and replaced with reality crap? I was shocked to discover it was canceled. I have to watch it when I get off work, so I always recorded it, never missing an episode. It was hilarious to watch. I am so upset!!
This show was so hilarious!! Why do they cancel the good shows and put on more of those obnoxious fake ass “reality” shows? This was a great show. I’m so mad!
My mom, brother and I loved this show and were all very upset it was canceled. If we didn’t watch it Thursday night we made sure to record it on DVR or find it the next day on demand. I know my best friend and her mom loved to watch it too. We hope NBC decides to renew the series, and I think a lot of people would agree with me.
I thought this show was so funny . I cannot believe it got cancelled .
