The fate of Sleepy Hollow is no longer uncertain. Today, it was revealed that FOX has cancelled the TV show so there won’t be a fifth season.
The supernatural drama stars Tom Mison as Ichabod Crane, a Revolutionary War patriot who wakes up more than 200 years after his death. The cast also includes Janina Gavankar, Lyndie Greenwood, Jerry MacKinnon, Rachel Melvin, Oona Yaffe, Jeremy Davies, and John Noble.
The FOX show’s cancellation doesn’t come as much of a surprise. Sleepy Hollow has struggled for a few seasons now and last season, the series alienated many fans by killing off a main character. Season four saw the consequences of that decision in its very low ratings. The fourth season, which ended in March, averaged a 0.50 rating in the 18-49 demo and only 1.92 million viewers, making it FOX’s lowest-rated series for the 2016-2017 season.

It is a real disappointment that Sleepy Hollow was cancelled, the story line continued and was hoping for more installments, how about a movie on Fox
My husband and I are middlrd age and love this show for humor,history and pure entertainment.I felt there was still a good path to follow with the new story line if they picked up the pace.It seemed minds were made up after the lieutenant died that people would not be interested.Not true!The real problem is the show coming on, off a few months.on again.Can not keep up when it comes on.Please reconsider…We both love Tom!
I think Tom Mison is in a different league than his fellow cast members. He’s an exceptional actor; you can’t cast someone with theatre experience with others that don’t reach that level of talent. If I’m being honest, you can’t expect one actor to carry the ratings of a show on their own. He will move on to bigger and better roles and I wish him good luck.
I LOVE THIS SHOW & Ichabod best character ever. I admit killing Abby off did surprise but I was DEFINITELY hoping they would bring her back somehow this season. They can bring his creepy son back but not her?!?! VERY DISAPPOINTED!!
