Are you a fan of Steve McQueen’s work? Deadline reports Amazon has picked up a new TV show from the 12 Years a Slave director called Small Axe.
The six-part anthology series, which will air on the BBC in the UK, “is a look at the lives of a group of friends and their families living in West London from 1968 to 2014.”
Prime Video has not yet released a premiere date for Small Axe, but you can read McQueen’s thoughts on the series below:
These stories are passionate, personal and unique. They are testimony to the truth of real lives and urgently need to be told. This is about a legacy which has not only made my life as an artist possible, but also has shaped the Britain that we live in today.”
