It was a big night for FX’s Sons of Anarchy last night. The sixth season opener drew 5.87 million viewers. That’s up from last year’s 5.37 million premiere and season four’s debut of 4.93 million in 2011.
It was also cable’s most-watched show of the evening in total viewers and the top-rated program on broadcast or cable in the 18-49 demographic with a 3.1 rating.
FX believes the episode will become the top-rated single telecast in FX history when the Live+7 data gets counted in approximately three weeks.
