Is Star Trek coming to Nickelodeon? Deadline reports the network is in negotiations for an animated Star Trek TV series.

The project comes from Trollhunters writers Kevin and Dan Hageman and is targeted at a younger audience. If greenlit, the series would be the first new Star Trek project to air outside of CBS All Access.

Details about the animated Star Trek series are being kept under wraps as Nickelodeon and CBS negotiate.
