Are you a fan of Star Trek: The Next Generation? Recently, Jonathan Frakes spoke about his time filming the classic TV series, CBC reports.
Frakes played Commander William Riker on the sci-fi show, which also starred Patrick Stewart, LeVar Burton, Denise Crosby, Michael Dorn, and Brent Spiner. Star Trek: The Next Generation ran for seven seasons before ending in 1994.
Speaking to The Homestretch, Frakes said he considers the cast his family:
It is such a great family. We see a lot of each other at the conventions, as you can imagine. Our show in particular, was like lightning in a bottle. We have been friends for 30 years, we have stood up at each other’s weddings, we are God parents to each other’s kids. We are very, very, very fortunate and we are very well aware of it.”
Later, he added that he’s worked on Bravo’s Girlfriends’ Guide to Divorce and will be directing Seth MacFarlane’s upcoming FOX series Orville. But will Frakes be involved in CBS All Access’ upcoming Star Trek: Discovery?:
My series that I produce and direct, The Librarians, just got picked up for a fourth season and I am hoping to do the new Star Trek series, Discovery, so I am booked up, which is great.”
What do you think? Did you watch Star Trek: The Next Generation? Will you watch Star Trek: Discovery?
