For the most part, ABC’s summer programming focuses on reality TV series, like The Bachelorette and game shows like Celebrity Family Feud. Still, the Alphabet Network always makes a little room for summertime scripted series. Although Mistresses was cancelled after four seasons, last fall, the Downward Dog sitcom premiered in May, and the Somewhere Between drama series kicks off in July. Joining them is the Still Star-Crossed TV show. Will this Romeo and Juliet sequel be cancelled or renewed for a second season? Stay tuned.
A Shondaland TV series adaptation of Melinda Taub’s novel, Still Star-Crossed stars Grant Bowler, Wade Briggs, Torrance Coombs, Dan Hildebrand, Lashana Lynch, Ebonee Noel, Medalion Rahimi, Zuleikha Robinson, Sterling Sulieman, Susan Wooldridge, and Anthony Head. The ABC drama features the bloodshed and palace intrigue overwhelming fair Verona in the aftermath of the tragic deaths of Romeo (Laviscount) and Juliet (Rugaard). To force a truce, Prince Escalus (Sulieman), decrees Benvolio Montague (Briggs) and Rosaline Capulet (Lynch) must wed.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. What do you think? Do you like the Still Star-Crossed TV series on ABC? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for a second season?
6/22 update: ABC sent Still Star-Crossed to Saturday nights and a cast member confirmed there won’t be a second season.
Please keep Still Star Cross, give it more time, I believe it will do well, its summer and people are Not watching TV as much as they will in the fall.
I’ve watched the 4 episodes online and I think it’s a great series full of great features, the scenes are fantastic, the whole cast is brilliant and I think the producers should be given a chance. Am sure that once the series starts to show in other countries and especially in Spain where the shooting took place. The series will be a great success. Can’t wait to see the whole season.
Please give this show a chance as Mrs .Rhonda is a brilliant story teller and some shows need to build on a story line as well as characters to get to the heart of it all have Patience as I and so many others know that this is all and more
I love the show, I catch up on the app. Please renew.

I love Still Star-Crossed. I was so disappointed when it was not televised for the last two weeks that I started reading the book. It is a great, classy love story. Please do not cancel this tv series.

I like the show & hope it doesn’t get cancelled. It had a slow start but after episode #3 we are seeing more twists & turns. I hope people tune back in to see the changes.
I hope it doesn’t get cancel. It’s a good show!
All of you who watch this need to stop watching this. It is not fit for TV. Please stop watching it so it gets cancelled.
I love this show please don’t cancel it.
I hope it won’t be cancelled, I’m sure the ratings will pick up
Please do not cancel Still Star-Crossed of course it’s starting off slow but the ratings will pick up. It’s diverse and it needs a chances.
I actually really enjoyed the first couple of episodes. Still Star Crossed is an exciting period drama based on a book with the same name. Beautiful costumes and visuals that probably makes the production very expensive. The ratings are really low though so I hope the finale will tie everything up if there’s no season 2. I’ll continue to watch.
I pass. Not worth watching.
A yawn fest. Bet it’s cancelled after 4 showings.
