Telly’s Take
Sun Records got off to a mediocre start and the ratings dropped quite a bit after that. CMT has very few scripted series and this one attracted about half as many viewers as the first half of season five of Nashville. Sun Records could easily be cancelled.
5/5 Update: CMT has confirmed there will be no season two of Sun Records. Details here.
6/5 Update: The producers are shopping Sun Records, season two, to other outlets. Details here.

This show is clean and no cussing or sex, something that our culture has all the time, this is a family show to tell the story of the Greatest Entertainer in the WORLD, What is Wrong with the Powers that be? I loved this show. I recorded each episode so I can watch them over again.
I am so sad they cancelled the show. I would follow it on whatever network it would end up on. I hope it gets picked up soon. Not many quality shows on TV this year but this was a winner.
My husband and I enjoyed this series very much. We grew up listening to this music and enjoy how the storyline so closely emulates the characters real lives. Please renew.
Enjoyed series very much, my family and would find time to get together to watch and talk about. Even inspired a Nashville/Memphis trip, where we visited. Please bring it back!!
If they made it a movie i am sure it will be huge i really loved this show and i dont watch CMT at any time
Bring Sun Records! You are leaving a HUGE chunk of the viewer ourt of the age demographic. I’m 55 and grew up on that music and those stars. We also have the money to spend on the products sold in commercials.
Please keep Sun Records, not just for me, but for the next generation. Let’s help keep the spirt of the King going and going.
Please please please bring the show back…any biography, any portrayal of The King is a money maker for you and a heart filler for us!!!! Dont step on those blue suede shows! Bring it back!
Yes please!!!!
Please bring back!
