Episode 15 – Who will be left behind?
With a tsunami on the way, Wilmington, NC residents (like Miles and his family) are being forced to evacuate the island.
Laura travels to find Rich who has been arrested by military police at the mysterious laboratory. As the lab employees evacuate the building, he’s locked in a cell and left to die.
Miles’ girlfriend Caitlin has gone missing and he goes back to find her. With the help of Nim, Miles eventually finds her unconscious on the side of the road. As they try to escape the tsunami by car, they run into Laura and Rich who have escaped from the lab. They run out of gas and flee to a church just as a giant wave come towards them.
Inside the church, Laura and Miles see a big creature swimming around in the water. As a second wave comes crashing in, they make it up to the roof of the church. On the roof, the four look out over a flooded city and Laura says, “It’s a whole new world.”
The show was cancelled and there’s been news of any plans to finish the story. The DVD set includes deleted scenes but no closure.

Maybe the show would have had better ratings if they didn’t cram so many commercials down our throats. 40 minutes of the show and 20 minutes of commercials will cause me to flip the channel. I waited for Netflix to pick it up before I ever finished watching it. I always get discouraged if there are too many stupid commercials.
I GOT TO WATCH SURFACE ON NETFLIX AND WAS DISAPOINTED THEY DID NOT CONTINUE INTO ANOTHER SEASON TO LEAVE IT AT A CLIFF HANGER WITH NO WAY OF KNOWING WHAT WILL HAPPEN. YOU SHOULD HAVE A MOVIE TO AT LEAST HAVE SOME KIND OF ENDING.
ACTUALLY YOU SHOULD HAVE ANOTHER SEASON AND SEE WHAT THE RATINGS WILL BE NOW
Sad to see that the show didn’t gain a viewership. All in all, it was a terrific ride while it lasted. Sorry to see it end.
I love this show I can’t believe that it ended like that plz bring it back plz
Soy de puerto rico y me gustó . Pensé q traía más. Nose que paso . Por que no continuaron.
It was disappointing to see they only made one season
It was disappointed in them haveing only one season
This series was so ahead of its time. If this had been produced in the last few years , Surface would still be running. Netflix you have a golden opportunity to here. Yes it’s 10 years later but there are ways to bring it around .
SURFACE is a Great and Classic TV series developing and evolving into a Cult following.
Please restart and continue SURFACE
Too bad they don’t wrap up the story
I ate up all 15 episodes on Netflix. It was fun while it lasted!
I’m seriously upset that there is no ending I mean that’s the worst thing that could happen leaving tons of people at a cliff hanger I mean yeah there were low ratings but what about the people that were watching now I don’t know what to do with my life forever crying
Agreed. They gave up good science fiction and shows with imagination. For low ratings so people could watch dumb ass drama shows. Very sad indeed…
How is possible you didn’t wrote a final episode, that’s very unprofessional
unbelievable!! watched 15 episodes with no ending!
So upsetting, I guess after 10 years there will never be another season, sad.
