In baseball, three strikes and you’re out, but Shemar Moore is not giving up on SWATafter its third cancellation by CBS.
The network announced the cancellation of the series earlier this week, and the star of the series quickly reacted to the news on social media. He is now fighting to save the series once again after the Grim Reaper comes calling.
He said the following on Instagram:
“SWAT IS CANCELED…. AGAIN!!! After 8 seasons… CANCELED… maybe this time for good!!! But my momma didn’t raise NO QUITTER!!! No Matter what, I AM GRATEFUL n THANKFUL!!! Almost 31 years in this game of Hollywood… JOURNEY OF A DREAMER!!! To my Homies, Fans, Baby Girls, SWAT CREW, and Hollywood…. I say THANK YOU!!!! And “FILL THE GAPS n STAY LIQUID… ROLL SWAT”!!!!”

Andrew Dettman, the showrunner of the CBS series, also said the following, according to Deadline:
“It’s heartbreaking news, primarily because it’s been such an immense pleasure working with this cast and crew to put out a show that we’ve always been proud of. They are truly an extraordinary group of people who have all worked so hard and have been so dedicated for all these eight seasons, overcoming countless challenges. I can’t give them enough credit. I feel so privileged to have been a part of the S.W.A.T. family.”
A third save is unlikely, but the series being saved the first two times was also deemed unlikely.

Swat is the best show on TV with great actors. It should not be cancelled, it doesn’t make sense!! There is so many shows that aren’t good on TV.

Please save SWAT. I love watching SWAT and Shemar Moore. I will be praying that another Network will pick up SWAT. I love watching SWAT and Shemar Moore and his SWAT Family crew. I’m his number one fan. Please save SWAT so we can continue watching SWAT season 9. I hope ABC, NBC, and another Network save SWAT.
Keep SWAT. Best show on TV. Get rid of some of those stupid reality shows and leave SWAT alone. Why cancel all the good shows. So well-written and actors are all great. Can’t wait to see it. PLEASE KEEP SWAT!!

I was a loyal fan of SWAT for many years. There was a great chemistry between the cast members. But, there have been many cast changes and the vibe is not the same. Eight years is a long time for a television series and that is something to be proud of.
One of the best shows on CBS. Keep SWAT.

S.W.A.T. storylines just keep getting better and better.
Whereas The Equalizer makes me squirm.
You can tell it is a stunt double doing all her stunts.
End The Equalizer as it has already surpassed the Edward Woodward version.
NCIS: Sydney is a pile of crap too.
I agree with ditching two FBI’s but not the International one.
Quit cancelling all of the great action shows on CBS/Paramount. Keep SWAT and don’t let it go the way of all of the other great shows that have been cancelled by those in power.
