What’s This TV Show About?
Airing on the FX cable channel, Taboo follows adventurer James Keziah Delaney (Tom Hardy). In 1814, he returns to London after spending 10 years in Africa. Upon his arrival, he finds that his father has died. Now, James is line to inherit what is left of the family shipping empire. This fact unnerves his half‐sister Zilpha (Oona Chaplin), her husband Thorne Geary (Jefferson Hall), and the chair of the mighty East India Company, Sir Stuart Strange (Jonathan Pryce). Taboo also stars Stephen Graham, Michael Kelly, Jessie Buckley, David Hayman, Tom Hollander, Jason Watkins, Franka Potente, Ed Hogg, Leo Bill, Christopher Fairbank, Richard Dixon, Mark Gatiss, Nicholas Woodeson, Lucian Msamati, and introduces Robert Parker.
Season One Ratings

On March 8, 2017, Taboo was renewed for a second season on FX and BBC One. A premiere date has yet to be announced. Stay tuned for further updates.
Telly’s Take
Despite being described as a mini-series, Taboo co-creator Steven Knight has said he has plans for three seasons. Although the Taboo ratings are decent for an FX series, they’re a bit weak for a first season show. While Taboo doesn’t approach the numbers of top performers American Crime Story and American Horror Story, after them, it is one of the stronger shows on FX. Since Taboo is a co-production with BBC One (which defrays the cost), it is not a big surprise that Taboo has been renewed for a second season.

I love Taboo and would be very upset to see it not continue. I really hope to see season 2 and more. I find the show to have a excellent cast and Tom Hardy is wonderful as James Delaney. I have watched Game of Thrones from Season 1 and see many faces I miss, Tom Hollander is also great in the series. If FX doesn’t continue with Taboo I wish someone else will pick it up it’s hard to find great shows today
I would be deeply upset if they cancel Taboo. This is the best show I’ve seen in a long time and Tom Hardy is brilliant in the role of Delaney. If FX would renew American Horror Story after last seasons tragic and horrible Roanoke, they surely owe Taboo another season. Let’s keep a great show around for a change.
I love Taboo! James Delaney is a man after my own heart! If hecwaw real and not a character, he would be my soul mate! To bad i will probably never meet one like him. Anyway, if its cancelled i am done with fx. Tired of getting into a show to only have it cancelled without a end to the whole story

There should be no question as to whether there should or should not be a season 2 of taboo. Most definitely YES YES YES. Also a season 3 would also be YES YES YES. Tom hardy is one of the most believable characters i have encountered. He puts his heart and soul into everything he does. Great story,let there be more.
I really hope Taboo gets renewed! I would seriously be upset if they end the season this week with what we know will be a cliffhanger for season two.
O.M.G i cant believe that not having a second season is a option ! There simply as got to be ! I have been so engrossed in this series ,the acting by all concerned is astounding. Please please get started on series 2
Best show on BBC for a long time well acted and beautifully filmed. Just hopes it come back and I believe a better slot would be 9pm on a Sunday rather than Saturday.

A lot of people from Serbia is watching Taboo. The best show that have come out recently!!!Tom Hardy is extra-ordinary and also all suporting actors,director and writers!!! Please renew, the last episode in the first season made us craving for more…
This is a no brainer, every person I have spoke to thinks this series is excellent, best thing on tv for years. Tim Hardy is so believable in his role, I wouldn’t cross him. A second series is a must as to deprive the public of this could lead to the with holding of payment of the TV licence!
I haven’t really liked any show that have come out recently, but taboo is an exception. tom hardy is a brilliant actor. he brings out the best of any show he takes part in. bravo to taboo!
This show has to be renewed!!! The cast did an excellent job, especially Tom Hardy…he act’s so good. And the story is so mystical and mesmerizing, sometimes it felt like you are caught in all of it and nothing exists around you. Amazing show, you need to give us more season’s.
