It looks like Take Two may not be getting a season two. According to The Hollywood Reporter, ABC has cancelled the TV show after only one season.
The comedy-drama stars Rachel Bilson as Sam Swift, an actress who begins shadowing a private investigator played by Eddie Cibrian. The cast also includes Xavier de Guzman, Aliyah O’Brien, Alice Lee, and Jordan Gavaris.
Ratings for Take Two were never particularly high. Season one averaged a .42 rating in the 18-49 demo and 2.707 million viewers.
Although ABC has cancelled Take Two, THR says the production is looking into shopping a second season to another outlet, possibly a streaming service.

This was my guilty pleasure that replaced “Castle” for me and wound up being lighter and funnier. I hope a season 2 can find a home somewhere. This would work well on Lifetime and not on busy Thursday evenings. This is a Wednesday show and maybe Tuesday.
I enjoyed this show and would like for it to continue.

Don’t give this show another chance. It was bad, bad, and bad! Rachel Bilson is the worst actress ever and is overrated. I like Eddie but they together have zero chemistry! The writing is bad and I don’t think it deverves anymore airings. It’s not anywhere near Castle’s acting nor their scripts…

I checked everyday to see when season two would happen, I’m very disappointed, please reconsider canceling please, not very good shows on with such quick humor regarding real life situations
