It looks like Take Two may not be getting a season two. According to The Hollywood Reporter, ABC has cancelled the TV show after only one season.
The comedy-drama stars Rachel Bilson as Sam Swift, an actress who begins shadowing a private investigator played by Eddie Cibrian. The cast also includes Xavier de Guzman, Aliyah O’Brien, Alice Lee, and Jordan Gavaris.
Ratings for Take Two were never particularly high. Season one averaged a .42 rating in the 18-49 demo and 2.707 million viewers.
Although ABC has cancelled Take Two, THR says the production is looking into shopping a second season to another outlet, possibly a streaming service.

I was really surprised! They have a really special chemistry that I wasn’t expecting. It was a cute story line and I would love to see it air for a second season

Terrific show – entertaining – NOT political (which is probably why it was cancelled) – should be given a chance to catch on during a regular season. Very disappointed but not surprised that it was cancelled.

ABC sucks! They don’t promote good shows then cancels it because it doesn’t have viewers.

Please change mind & renew. Do not think it was well-publicized- I only recently discovered it had actually been on tv. Love, love the show! Well-cast, great plot lined, love the cast & the writing. All around great entertainment!!
Love this show. So tired of stupid reality shows. I won’t watch anything else on ABC until it has at least 3 seasons under it’s belt. I really hope either Netflix or Hulu picks it up
