It wasn’t a positive start for The Finder at all. It lost nearly 30% from its Bones lead-in in the demo and could only beat The CW’s Secret Circle in the timeslot. When compared with other FOX scripted shows, The Finder’s season average only beats Fringe on Friday nights. Even the already cancelled Allen Gregory performed better.
Note: These ratings are collected by the Nielsen company and are the final national numbers. These are different from the fast affiliate numbers which are just estimates of the actual ratings and are reported on by most other outlets. The final nationals are typically released within 24 hours of the programming or, in the case of weekends and holidays, a couple days later.
What do you think? Do you like the Finder TV series? Do you think it should be cancelled or be renewed for a second season?

I am SOOOOOO upset with FOX!!!! How dare they cancel the BEST SHOW EVER? This was a very witty, intelligent comedy/drama and a refreshing change to the same old tired programming that the station is keeping. I actually thought that the Friday move was good for Finder as there was nothing else decent showing. I am also upset with the show’s writers for creating such a devastating finale. Could you not end it on a happy note? Horrible! I think that they should have had Walter show up just in time to prevent the marriage between Willa and Timo, put… Read more »
The Finder was one of the 3 shows I planned in my schedule. First it was my Thursday night plan, then there was a 4 week laps between shows with no thought of you moving it around. You brought it back a month later on a different night, it took me another month to finally find that you moved it to Friday night. So I made it my Friday night plan. Now you cancel an enjoyable show. I hope the USA network picks this show up just to get it away from the fools at FOX.
For once someone came up with an original plot, made it interesting and funny, with some warm feelings. I can’t believe it will be cancelled. Guess its back to the same old predictable shows now. Maybe insted of cancelling it changing it from a fall line up to a spring line up. Either way I and other of my friends would have watched it.
Please renew the Finder! We love the show and have not missed even one episode! If nothing else we will pray another network has the sense to pick up this entertaining show! We will switch channels with glee to follow a show two retired people can actually have fun with. Very disappointed in FOX. When they replace it with another sitcom or reality show I am sure we will not be the ones watching! What a shame. Sherrie
The Finder was one of the best new shows last season! What is wrong with these networks??? Why don’t they give a series a chance to catch fire? It takes more than one season to create an audience – that’s obvious. And by the way – we the public don’t need any more garbage TV reality shows, please!
If you take away the finder I will boycott Fox and i will make sure to tell a 100 people that will tell another 100 well you do the math Fox do be stuiped keep the finder
I agree! Great show! I record The Finder and Bones on the dvr every week. The only two shows, i do record and watch! When the dvd’s are released for the season, i go buy them and delete the shows off my dvr. This is one of two great shows. I hope fox will reconsider and bring back this great cast/show! I look forward to buying the first season dvd’s and hope for furture seasons to come.
The Finder is one of those rare shows that actually makes me laugh – Why is it that I finally find a show to look forward to weekly & they up and cancel it? Most shows out there are either serious crime or just plain stupid, but this one tickled me pink as they say & I truly think they should give it another season… It is silly & sometimes heartwarming without crossing the line into moronic. Please SAVE this wonderful Show!!!
The Finder was a great show! I never seen Fox promote this show at all. Maybe if it was a cartoon it would still be on. And what about Bones, more repeats this season than original episodes?
You know, it really sucks that FOX finally comes upvwith an awesome new concept for a show and they cancel it because the ratings aren’t what they want. I have watched EVERY single episode and have been extremely impressed with it. I love it! I am extremely disappointed in FOX and if they seriously cancel this show, will quit watching their channel and see how many people I can get to follow me in my protest.
i love the finder, i have all the episodes saved on my dvr all the other shows i watch i delete as soon as i’ve watched them but i like re watching the finder and i think threres so much more you can do with it. i belive it’s one of those shows that can go on for along time and it should.
Please do not cancel one of the best shows on tv. If they do I swear I will boycott fox im tired of getting hooked on a good show and then they rip it away. That show had great comedy and drama. Please don’t cancel.
The Finder is one of the few shows I like watching because for an hour you’re entertained and you forget about your problems. Now that the finder is cancelled I guess I have to FIND another station to watch. One question, where are you getting the count of viewers because my wife and I were never asked!
The Finder is without question the best show on television right now. The decision to cancel it is absurb. It has sharp witty writing, right on casting and perfect comdedic timing. Someone (Ion?) needs to pick it up. Both my wife and myself love the show. It’s appeal crosses age barriers and appeals to anyone who will sit down and watch it. It amazes me that folks will sit down and watch a bunch of no talent yahoos shoot crocidiles or duke it out with disgruntled pawn shoppers or build duck blinds out of mobile homes. Please, we need shows like… Read more »

The Finder needs a chance to find its audience. The Fox network has not given The Finder enough time for word-of-mouth to spread about this truly fantastic show. The Finder is one of the most wonderfully written, charming and truly unique shows out there.
