If you need proof that The Firm is doomed to be cancelled by NBC, you just have to look at the show’s ratings. Not only did the new legal series bomb on Thursday nights but it’s currently being trounced on Saturday nights as well — airing opposite CSI: New York repeats, 20/20, and FOX’s forgotten Q’Viva! The Chosen reality series.
The ratings for The Firm have been so poor that one had to start wondering if NBC might bump the series off the Saturday schedule as well. Well, that’s what they’re doing — at least for one week.
This week’s episode of The Firm has been replaced by a rerun of the 90-minute premiere of Fashion Star (which debuts tonight). That will be followed by an encore of the first episode of Betty White’s Off Their Rockers, which first aired in January. Rockers returns to the NBC schedule on April 4th.
On March 24th, NBC has slotted an episode of the USA Network series Fairly Legal at 8pm, a slot that had been filled by reruns of Smash. The network hasn’t announced which episode of Fairly Legal will air but the season two opener (which will run this Friday on USA) seems likely.
The network is shaking up their Saturday night schedule and if they can come up with better numbers than what The Firm has been getting, the legal drama could easily be off the schedule for good. NBC has aired just 10 of the show’s 22 episodes thus far.
What do you think? Are you still watching NBC’s The Firm? Do you watch the episodes on Saturday nights, on demand or online? Would you be upset if NBC pulled it for good?

The Firm is one of my favorite shows…the drama is intense…each episode leaves us wanting to see the next. NBC needs to find a decent time slot for this show and give it a chance.
The Firm is one of our favorite shows. If the ratings aren’t good then NBC isn’t promoting the show properly. Please don’r leave us hanging!!!!!!!
Dont cancel the firm it is such an awesome show!! I love it!
I love the Firm! I enjoy watching it, such a thriller and full of suspense everytime i watch i forget that it’s an episode I’m watching cuz it feels like a movie. Please dont cancel such a good show, it will be such a waste
WE LOVE THIS SHOW!!!! What is wrong with NBC! We just can’t wait from week to week, it keeps us on our toes. Please don’t cancel this show.
I really enjoy this show and ,like so many shows that I look for,it just dissapeared from the listings.I was so happy to find it by chance on Saturday evening and ,if you would just leave it there so I can find it again , I would really appreciate that! How can you expect to know what the public wants to watch if you continuously delete, remove, reschedule ,the shows that we look for? You are ,obviously, your own worst enemies!
N B C…. Why don’t you just leave the good shows alone.. you”ve messed with “the firm” you’ve messed with “harrys law”. Half the time viewers can’t find them, and you replace them with nonsense…I do hope if you plan to cancel you don’t leave us hanging in the air on “the firm”. It is the best…I t may be hard to follow if you don’t watch it regularly but many of us are hooked on both of these shows. Count me gone if you cancel these shows..I am more than annoyed…settle down for petes sake…
I love The Firm. Hope it sticks around.
My wife and I love the show and the suspense it brings. NBC, please don’t cancel it, but if you must, please finish out the full season. I don’t know if the ratings record for those who dvr the show when they can’t be home to see it, well, I’m one of those.
Both my husband and I (50-60 demographics) love THE FIRM. We have just had trouble keeping up with which night to watch episodes. Real, clever drama……..not slap stick raunchy comedy shows pervading the networks.
I love The Firm and Josh Lucas. Everytime I start enjoying a show, it just disappears. That is very annoying. There was never anything good on Saturday nights until they added The Firm. Saturday is all reruns, that is why no one watches. If you would add new shows to Saturday night, we would not have to rent so many movies.
I don’t understand why people don’t watch this show! this is a great show! episode 14 was the best!!!
In reading the posts here . . . I’m not alone in wanting The Firm to stay on air. Now that House is concluding its run on Fox, maybe NBC would like to put The Firm on Monday nights because people who enjoy House (because of its intelligent storylines) would also like The Firm with its great storylines. With Desperate Housewives going off ABC on Sundays, what another great night to put The Firm. The main thing: Keep The Firm going.
I love The Firm!!!! NBC has ticked me off royal in how I’ve had to track this show down from week to week with its going from Thursday to Saturday (and then being scared when it missed that week in March – yikes). It’s a compelling series (except for one of the episode plots that was stolen from Drop Dead Diva, but who cares, I didn’t) with its two on-going plotlines and the weekly, tied-up- in-a-bow, episode plotlines. The actors are great; lots of chemistry among them, especially Mitch, his brother, Ray and Ray’s gf, Tammy (she’s fantastic!). I came… Read more »
Donna, yes they did steal a storyline from Diva, I noticed right away. As for your dvr, set the show on series record so whatever time it comes on, it will record.
My husband and I love The Firm. Please don’t cancel it. I think NBC is to blame for the show doing poorly. The actors are great, NBC didn’t promote it well at all.
