If you need proof that The Firm is doomed to be cancelled by NBC, you just have to look at the show’s ratings. Not only did the new legal series bomb on Thursday nights but it’s currently being trounced on Saturday nights as well — airing opposite CSI: New York repeats, 20/20, and FOX’s forgotten Q’Viva! The Chosen reality series.
The ratings for The Firm have been so poor that one had to start wondering if NBC might bump the series off the Saturday schedule as well. Well, that’s what they’re doing — at least for one week.
This week’s episode of The Firm has been replaced by a rerun of the 90-minute premiere of Fashion Star (which debuts tonight). That will be followed by an encore of the first episode of Betty White’s Off Their Rockers, which first aired in January. Rockers returns to the NBC schedule on April 4th.
On March 24th, NBC has slotted an episode of the USA Network series Fairly Legal at 8pm, a slot that had been filled by reruns of Smash. The network hasn’t announced which episode of Fairly Legal will air but the season two opener (which will run this Friday on USA) seems likely.
The network is shaking up their Saturday night schedule and if they can come up with better numbers than what The Firm has been getting, the legal drama could easily be off the schedule for good. NBC has aired just 10 of the show’s 22 episodes thus far.
What do you think? Are you still watching NBC’s The Firm? Do you watch the episodes on Saturday nights, on demand or online? Would you be upset if NBC pulled it for good?

We love The Firm!!! It is our favorite tv series. We watch it on Saturday nights. NBC needs to keep this series going.
Compared to some of the other garbage on TV, this should be a winner. Please continue the series to its conclusion.
What happened to The Firm. I think is a great show and is the only thing worth watching on Saturday night. I look forward to Saturday nights so I can see what happens next. Please leave it on the air. I didn’t watch the voice the first time it is on so why would I want to see a rerun.
The firm is the only program that is worth watching.
don,t cancel the show, please.
Anytime TV gets a hold of a series that makes people think,
is well acted and has good plot lines – it has to get cancelled.
Maybe public TV has to pick it up like they did with John Housman’s
the Paper Chase, years ago. Go ahead, throw on another reality show.
I’m disappointed in NBC as well…. When you put it on Saturday night you
never gave the public a chance….. Very Disappointed !
I love the firm. I’ve watched it every Saturday or DVR’d it to watch later. It is an intelligent story that can be enjoyed by adults. It seems that network TV is only playing to the 15-24 age group despite the fact that older people are the ones with the money who can buy what their advertisers are trying to sell. Also I know that it’s much cheaper to do reality TV. No actors, no writers, just largely losers. We’re largely back to the ‘Dating Game’ or pissed off women with gigantic butts. I am so very disappointed. Maybe I’ll… Read more »
Shame on NBC… I love this show….I cannot believe that it might be cancelled…
I enjoy The Firm and can’t believe that they are cancelling. It’s a shame that a show can’t be given some time to hit their stride. This is a good show!!!!
The Firm is a great show! We hope is isn’t cancelled. One of our favorites!
I so agree with …if i wasn’t home on saturday night,i would record it.I kept up with the series and REALLY like it!

I do not watch too many shows either.
My husband and I have loved this series. We are very tied up in the story. We would greatly miss it. Please continue it for at least the first series. If you are going to cancel it, please have some kind of resolution. thanks, Rose Sloan
We LOVE this show and a very invested in the story line! This is such a quality t.v. show, it’s so sad it hasn’t taken off like it should have – please DO NOT cancel this show before all the episodes have been shown – I would be sooo disappointed in NBC if they do this.
I love the firm–great plot & acting. Don’t replace with something lame!
