It was a very disappointing debut for this high-profile legal drama. In addition to the weak cumulative ratings, the early numbers indicated that many viewers tuned out as the two hour premiere progressed. Fewer people are expected to watch the next episode and The Firm already can’t afford to lose any viewers.
Compared to The Cape’s premiere one year earlier, the peacock network is down by 46% in the demo and 25% in total viewers. The Cape fell to a low 1.2 in the demo before being cancelled by NBC.
Note: These ratings are collected by the Nielsen company and are the final national numbers. These are different from the fast affiliate numbers which are just estimates of the actual ratings and are reported on by most other outlets. The final nationals are typically released within 24 hours of the programming or, in the case of weekends and holidays, a couple days later.
What do you think? Do you like The Firm TV series? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for a second season?

don’t cancel it,, i enjoy it! i hardly watch TV, but this is one show that I do.
please do not cancel a show that has just gained good momentum. we look forward to every week!
Please do not cancel this show, we haven’t missed a chapter yet, it is by far the best show, and we look forward every week, now we can’t find it anywhere, will they at least finish the remaining chapters as promised at the beginning? 22 chapters guaranteed. hopefully another network will p/u the next season, we also liked Missing, that was cancelled too, yes enough of reality shows!!!
My wife and I really enjoyed The Firm and are sorry to see it go. We watched it regularly. We are so sick of “reality” TV.
Am I the only one who thought that the best acting on the show was by Callum Keith Rennie. I totally understand that Josh Lucas ‘looked’ the part better, and that producers would go that way but still the better acting was the brother.
Please cable pick it up! I’ll gladly leave NBC.
PLEASE DO NOT CANCEL. THERES 12 OF US THAT WATCH IT EVERY WEEK…… 5/5 SO AMAZING. PLEASE….
DO NOT CANCEL !!!!!!!!!
I love the firm! Disappointed no season 2. First Terra Nova, now the firm. Also enjoy watching person of interest and Castle. Hope they don’t get cancelled too!
I really like thisshow and want it to be renewed. Network guys please pay attention to the public on this one. It will be a real shame to cancel this one. And stop moving around the show’s time slot. That is the sure fire way to kill it which makes it the network execs fault the show dies and not the fans.
This is my favorite drama on TV currently! Will be very upset if it’s cancelled. My mother in law is also very into it, we enjoy talking about it when she comes to town. There’s nothing like this on tv, and the cast is amazing.
I really enjoy the show. I look forward to the show on Saturday nights but if I miss it I will watch it on the computer so that I do not miss an episode. Love this show. Please do not cancel it.
My husband and I really enjoy the firm and am so disapointed it is scheduled to be cancelled! We love the suspense and feel it is a little different from Law and Order and all the CSI episodes, although we enjoy those also. Please reconsider the cancelation of this show!
This is the ONLY show I watch on TV! Can’t understand why the ratings are not better! I look forward to it every week and am aggravated that it keeps skipping weeks!! I agree the network messed up by switching nights and skipping weeks. Makes it harder to follow! Should not cancel this show!
I don’t trust “ratings” any more. I am suspect of them all and how they are done. NBC would be stupid to cancel the show.
I really enjoy The Firm and hope it will be on next year. Person of Interest is also one of my favorites. How does this rating really work because most of my friends watch the Firm every week and we agree it is worth watching. We are in our early 60’s and need good action shows to watch with interesting plots that could really happen.
I em extremely disappointed that The Firm will not be renewed. It has been a great source of viewing pleasure. Why not at least a Season 2?
My wife and I love the Firm. I don’t watch TV much and my wife insisted I watch one episode. I did and now I never miss it. We are very disappointed its been cancelled.
I hope one of the cable stations picks up Season Two of The Firm. It is one of my two favorite shows this season – the other is A Person of Interest.
