TV show description:
This multi-camera sitcom revolves around about a close-knit, sports-crazed family from Boston, the McCarthys.
Athletically challenged 29-year-old son Ronny (Tyler Ritter) gets a great opportunity to move to Rhode Island where he can join the singles scene and hopefully find a great guy to be his partner. His distraught mother, Marjorie (Laurie Metcalf), isn’t upset that her favorite son is gay, but that he wants to leave Boston and his family.
Ronny’s plans are thrown into disarray when his politically incorrect and outspoken father Arthur (Jack McGee), the head basketball coach at a local high school, wants Ronny to be his assistant.
Touched by his father’s offer, Ronny embarks on a completely different future than the one that he’d planned. This move shocks his more-than-qualified twin brothers Sean (Jimmy Dunn) and Gerard (Joey McIntyre) and their sister Jackie (Kelen Coleman) and it’s not long before they’re crying foul.
Episode #15 — End Games
The McCarthy children are sent into a frenzy when they each try to prove that they are responsible enough to be appointed executor of their parents’ will.
First aired: July 11, 2015.
What do you think? Do you like The McCarthys TV show? Do you think it should have been cancelled or renewed for a second season instead?
I find this show funny and have a number of gut busting laughs each episode. This show is a keeper
I like it! It makes me laugh and their are not that many shows that do that! SO please keep it on for one more season!
Love the show. I laugh the entire time.
DONT CANCEL THE SHOW!! One of my favorite shows!!
Please don’t cancel this show! I have a family that is Irish and Sicilian. This is spot on! The writers and actors nailed it! We lived up there for a bit as well and still have extended family there! Not to mention I love Joe McIntyre and my hubby is his clone! No kidding. My 4y/o son plays a game with me on FB called Daddy or Joe McIntyre. Even he is not always correct, and kids know!!! Don’t cancel the show!!!
The show is awful ever time someone speaks there is a laugh track played. Why can we not have a comedy without laugh tracks sex jokes. I guess I will just watch I Love Lucy.
Keep it!
I absolutely love this show as do my friends. Spot on writing and cast. I see the other comments, but I do not agree. The only thing that drives me crazy is in the beginning intro where one of the characters says “my brother lives heRe, my mother lives heRe, etc.” The correct way to say it is “heya, my brother lives heya.” No R’s people, no R’s. Joey Mac should know bettuh!! :))
I can’t stop laughing!! The Christmas gift exchange was the best! Please keep it coming
Love it give it a chance
Awful! This show is so far off the true “Irish American” family dynamic that it isn’t even funny… well, yeah, I guess that’s the point I’m making.
One of the worst TV shows I have seen, in a long time. Very little humor and the mother comes across as just plain stupid. She is more annoying, than funny. I would be surprised if the show lasted the entire season.
I really the Tv Show. The pilot amazed me so much ! I hope it won’t be cancelled.
Clever writing. Good cast. So far t he funniest new show we’ve seen this season. 🙂
Boston, Irish, homophobic, Boring
