TV show description:
This multi-camera sitcom revolves around about a close-knit, sports-crazed family from Boston, the McCarthys.
Athletically challenged 29-year-old son Ronny (Tyler Ritter) gets a great opportunity to move to Rhode Island where he can join the singles scene and hopefully find a great guy to be his partner. His distraught mother, Marjorie (Laurie Metcalf), isn’t upset that her favorite son is gay, but that he wants to leave Boston and his family.
Ronny’s plans are thrown into disarray when his politically incorrect and outspoken father Arthur (Jack McGee), the head basketball coach at a local high school, wants Ronny to be his assistant.
Touched by his father’s offer, Ronny embarks on a completely different future than the one that he’d planned. This move shocks his more-than-qualified twin brothers Sean (Jimmy Dunn) and Gerard (Joey McIntyre) and their sister Jackie (Kelen Coleman) and it’s not long before they’re crying foul.
Episode #15 — End Games
The McCarthy children are sent into a frenzy when they each try to prove that they are responsible enough to be appointed executor of their parents’ will.
First aired: July 11, 2015.
What do you think? Do you like The McCarthys TV show? Do you think it should have been cancelled or renewed for a second season instead?
My family and I love this show!! Please give it another chance and bring it back. Such talented actors….. we loved watching the last 4 shows on Demand. Nothing but laughs come out of our living room whenever we watch these shows!
I couldn’t believe when I saw on the DVR it was the SERIES finale. This is a very funny show, I echo other sentiment — I hope another network is smart enough to pick the show up. Bad decision.
Hope another network is smart enough to pick up this show – so excited for the last 4 episodes – been waiting since January!
Why not give this show another chance? Then, they show the last episodes on Saturday in the summer. People are not watching TV a whole lot in the summer. I had to watch them On Demand. Does the network have something against this show? It does have fans. Bring it back!!!!
We love it!
It should have been renewed, and CBS should have given it an honest chance. Best comedy in a very long time.
PLEASE DON’T CANCEL THIS SHOW IT IS OUR FAMILIES FAVORITE, OUR AGES RANGE FROM 17 TO 36 TO 42 TO 53 !
I am p.o’d. this is a great show!!! give it time. wasn’t “friends” on the chopping block back in the day?
The episode with Jean Smart was hilarious. I agree they did not give this show a chance. Of course, we loved it from the beginning! Don’t understand Modern Family and The Middle’s popularity.
Love this show. Would NOT cancel!!!
I absolutely loved The McCarthys! So did my husband. It was one show we made sure we never missed. The combination of talent on that show was incredible. So,of course it was cancelled. Really tired of CBS.
Great w. I want another season. give it another chance.
I cannot believe they are canceling this show. This is genuinely a good show. Good characters, lots of possible story lines. With all the crap on TV these days I’m shocked this would be one to get ax’d. Is there anything that can be done?
Bring the show back. Gr8 characters, lots of laughs, light and lively. Seriously, bring it back .
What a great show! Every character perfect! True representation of an Irish Catholic family! Laugh out loud great family tv show ! Watching the reruns…
we love this show
