TV show description:
This multi-camera sitcom revolves around about a close-knit, sports-crazed family from Boston, the McCarthys.
Athletically challenged 29-year-old son Ronny (Tyler Ritter) gets a great opportunity to move to Rhode Island where he can join the singles scene and hopefully find a great guy to be his partner. His distraught mother, Marjorie (Laurie Metcalf), isn’t upset that her favorite son is gay, but that he wants to leave Boston and his family.
Ronny’s plans are thrown into disarray when his politically incorrect and outspoken father Arthur (Jack McGee), the head basketball coach at a local high school, wants Ronny to be his assistant.
Touched by his father’s offer, Ronny embarks on a completely different future than the one that he’d planned. This move shocks his more-than-qualified twin brothers Sean (Jimmy Dunn) and Gerard (Joey McIntyre) and their sister Jackie (Kelen Coleman) and it’s not long before they’re crying foul.
Episode #15 — End Games
The McCarthy children are sent into a frenzy when they each try to prove that they are responsible enough to be appointed executor of their parents’ will.
First aired: July 11, 2015.
What do you think? Do you like The McCarthys TV show? Do you think it should have been cancelled or renewed for a second season instead?
My husband & I really enjoyed the Mc Carty’s they should’ve Renewed
Why on earth did you cancel this show?? Not only did I make a point to tune in weekly, I also watch it on demand over and over again. Why do you not even give a good show a chance? So sick of TV for this very reason. I watch Playing House, Bing Bang Theory, Blackish, did watch Trophy Wife until some idiot cancelled it. Also the new grandfathered. Please put this show back on. You don’t leave them on long enough to pick up an audience !! It’s terrible to put on a good show that I watch and… Read more »
I can’t believe it got cancelled. I had no idea and was searching for it on the tv guide remote. I thought it was hilarious. What do we have to do to get it back?
I liked them all too
Accent or no accent, the show was funny & good. Should be renewed for another season.
Glad it’s gone.
This show is brilliantly funny. I can watch it over and over again and not get tired of it. Please do not cancel the show
I’m from Boston so I liked this show. However, it always bothered me that only TWO of the characters actually had, or even tried to fake, our Boston accent. The rest of them might as well have been raised in… well, anywhere that has a “neutral” speaking voice…lol. You know, the kind of voice most actors and news anchors take voice lessons to achieve to get rid of their Midwestern or Southern accent. A **real** Boston accent is hard to do, but the twins had it down pretty good. I liked the show, but without the Boston accent, it was… Read more »
LOL Of course the twins had it down…. they are Boston natives!! The same with Cheers…. they didn’t have authentic Boston accents, but the show lasted years
