You know that old line about “Please, don’t shoot the messenger”? Well, The CW has done just that. The network has cancelled The Messengers after one season. Only three episodes have aired thus far.
On The Messengers TV show, a mysterious object plummets to Earth and explodes in a blinding flash. It sends out a shock wave that instantly connects five strangers. They receive extraordinary gifts, from inexplicable strength to the ability to heal others. The cast includes Shantel VanSanten, Jon Fletcher, Sofia Black-D’Elia, J. D. Pardo, Joel Courtney, Anna Diop, and Diogo Morgado.
The move to cancel the series doesn’t come as much of a surprise. The Messengers has performed quite poorly so far, even for a Friday night show. Last week’s installment hit a new low with just 650,000 viewers and a 0.2 rating in the 18-49 demographic.
For now, it looks like the series will stay on the air to finish out its run of 13 total episodes.

The messengers is a great and amazing TV show I do believe it’s aired on the wrong night and the marketing is horrible not too many people even know the show exist SEASON 2 !!!!!!!!!!!

I really loved this show! Dang CW you seem to have a knack for keeping crap and getting rid of great quality. I’m still a fan of Tomorrow People as well! But, this show I thought was great with a lot of hidden meaning! Great quality and love the characters and the message. I hate that its all over!
I enjoyed the show although it moves at a sales pace. Like the cast and story line could really be great, just need to pick up the pace. This is happening way to often where you start to get into a show when out of the blue it’s canceled, your not giving the shows a good enough chance to developers a following. That’s why I pretty much stick to the “old” standards, NCIS, ELEMENTARY, CASTLE. And by the way reality tv really, REALLY SUCKS. I for one NEVER watch. Learn to DEVEOPE a following.
The messenger is a nice program. It makes sense how the end time is gonna be…It there to serve as. For those who don’t believe in the Rapture and the 2nd coming of Christ…

The Messengers is a good program and I hope they give it a second chance.
I think you should keep the messengers on the air, I didn’t know even know this show was on TV until I looked on Hulu and got interested. Better marketing may have been needed and i’m sure more viewers would watch in the millions and maybe more! I didn’t even know what channel it came on until I searched and found out, and I was looking for the show on friday but didn’t see it on.
PLEASE BRING THIS SHOW BACK ON THE AIR AND PUT ON COMMERCIALS SO PEOPLE CAN KNOW!! IT’S A GREAT SHOW!!
