You know that old line about “Please, don’t shoot the messenger”? Well, The CW has done just that. The network has cancelled The Messengers after one season. Only three episodes have aired thus far.
On The Messengers TV show, a mysterious object plummets to Earth and explodes in a blinding flash. It sends out a shock wave that instantly connects five strangers. They receive extraordinary gifts, from inexplicable strength to the ability to heal others. The cast includes Shantel VanSanten, Jon Fletcher, Sofia Black-D’Elia, J. D. Pardo, Joel Courtney, Anna Diop, and Diogo Morgado.
The move to cancel the series doesn’t come as much of a surprise. The Messengers has performed quite poorly so far, even for a Friday night show. Last week’s installment hit a new low with just 650,000 viewers and a 0.2 rating in the 18-49 demographic.
For now, it looks like the series will stay on the air to finish out its run of 13 total episodes.

This makes me sick! Our whole family enjoys watching The Messengers and it allows us to spend time with each other and with friends and family talking for hours about the bible and the end times. Yes it’s Hollywood but we don’t know just how things are going to unfold. This show one gives you hope as well as pulls on your spiritual heart stings. I am begging you please please bring it back. I as well as my friends and family are addicted. Don’t pull a great show and put crap on in it’s place.

I love The Messengers show. Please bring it back. I just watched the season finale and was so excited to see when the new season starts. That’s when I found out that it is being canceled. I am heart broken, please bring it back. Have a wonderful day!

The Messegers shouldn’t ve cancelled. I’ve been watching it since the first episode aired. Cancelling is a big mistake. This is like the 5th show that I have seen and it have been cancelled since 2015 started! In my opinion, I think The Messengers should have a Season 2!
Bring back The Messengers such a great such and such a good meaning to it. How could y’all cancel this show. We need more shows that are as good as this one. BRING THE MESSENGERS BACK

The only reason that I watched the show was because my husband was an extra. I feel in love with the show just finished watching the series finale and I’m pissed that it’s over. I want to know what’s going to happen with the little girl and boy. Why is it that there is something good to watch and they take it off my husband laughed at me because I was so mad. Every time I find a new series I like that sends a positive view it seems to get cancelled. In this day and age we need something positive to hang onto to give us the feeling that good will always come of things. Whether you are Christian or not, most of us believe in a higher power or being who will look out for us and love us no matter how imperfect we may be. Every great show that gets put on late in the season is put on to for one reason late and thats to cancel. Ressurrection, Revolution, Wayward Pines and now the Messengers. I want these shows back or else I will make the season finale of the Messengers the last time I ever watch any tv since their all getting cancelled. I don’t need cable if this is how tv is controlled to hook people on a excellent program and remove it and then leave on the other garbage that isn’t worth paying for. Definitely what Christine Sade said !!! I really liked the messengers and the message !! It’s interesting that it was canceled so quickly and not really given a chance, when a brainless, no plot show (no names called) continues to be renewed and aired. Really makes me wonder ???!!!
Please hust one more season
I am surprised it was cancelled. I enjoyed the show and thought it definitely had potential. I hope another network picks it up. I would love to see at least a season 2 to give it a chance.
Do not cancel the messengers. The show is just starting to take off! Rethink it please. It needed. More promotion, there weren’t. Enough commercials for it to start with. Your pr department sucks it didn’t promote it right. I know i only. Saw 4 commercials. For it before it aired. Give it a chance. Sam & Dean started off slow to but look where they are now.
