You know that old line about “Please, don’t shoot the messenger”? Well, The CW has done just that. The network has cancelled The Messengers after one season. Only three episodes have aired thus far.
On The Messengers TV show, a mysterious object plummets to Earth and explodes in a blinding flash. It sends out a shock wave that instantly connects five strangers. They receive extraordinary gifts, from inexplicable strength to the ability to heal others. The cast includes Shantel VanSanten, Jon Fletcher, Sofia Black-D’Elia, J. D. Pardo, Joel Courtney, Anna Diop, and Diogo Morgado.
The move to cancel the series doesn’t come as much of a surprise. The Messengers has performed quite poorly so far, even for a Friday night show. Last week’s installment hit a new low with just 650,000 viewers and a 0.2 rating in the 18-49 demographic.
For now, it looks like the series will stay on the air to finish out its run of 13 total episodes.

I love the messengers I am so upset that it is not going to be renewed for season two! I think it was a good show and it actually had Christian ties to it and it taught me a lot about certain things in the Bible as far as prophecies and stuff like that I thought it was very cool. Anyhow I think the CW was stupid to cancel it!!!
you can,t cancel the show it’s a very good show to watch. This is coming from a fifteen year old. When I first saw the show I was like this is interesting. Please don’t cancel the show because this is the only show I like to watch every Friday night because it helps me know that God is by our side always and that he cares for us. I want to see what happens to Michel does he live or does Amy kills him. Please rethink it over
We need at least 6 more seasons. This is the best show on TV. You can’t take this from us. Go against the odds. And keep the show and watch what happens.. You will gain more people watching the show ratings will go up… Money will increase if you keep the show. And how it going now. According to truth.. Keep the show.. Give it 7 months. And watch it increase.. Return the show!!!! Make us all happy.!!!!!!!!
Finally a show my family loves. For the love of God put this show back on the air. Do not cancel it. There are many of us that appreciate decent programming.

The messengers is one of the best shows out there. You can’t end it the way it did. We need a season 2. I watch izombie but the messengers is better than izombie and they got renewed. Sometimes it takes 2 seasons to get people interested. Please bring it back!

This show is such a positive influence in people live, making them feel that there’s always an eye watching over us, that will always be there to help us. why do when there’s something good that can bring good influence in this world, it always end up in the trash. Just cause y’all scared of the truth. This show need to be bring back. I’m only 15 and I love this show so much, please bring it back it deserve a second chance.

I cannot believe The Messengers got cancelled, and ending with cliffhangers, too! Hope CW reconsiders because many folks are angry and disappointed and CW may lose ratings over this. The Messengers was a great show with a good message, and a person did not have to be a believer to enjoy this show. Please give it another chance, at least one more season.
