You know that old line about “Please, don’t shoot the messenger”? Well, The CW has done just that. The network has cancelled The Messengers after one season. Only three episodes have aired thus far.
On The Messengers TV show, a mysterious object plummets to Earth and explodes in a blinding flash. It sends out a shock wave that instantly connects five strangers. They receive extraordinary gifts, from inexplicable strength to the ability to heal others. The cast includes Shantel VanSanten, Jon Fletcher, Sofia Black-D’Elia, J. D. Pardo, Joel Courtney, Anna Diop, and Diogo Morgado.
The move to cancel the series doesn’t come as much of a surprise. The Messengers has performed quite poorly so far, even for a Friday night show. Last week’s installment hit a new low with just 650,000 viewers and a 0.2 rating in the 18-49 demographic.
For now, it looks like the series will stay on the air to finish out its run of 13 total episodes.

Please bring the Messengers back for a second season! It is a good show and just needs more time. Please, it was actually interesting and just need more promoting. I told a few friends about it and they hadn’t heard about it, but once they saw an episode, they said they’d watch it from now own.
Please bring it back, at least over the summertime so that “Vera” can still do both shows (the Messengers and the Flash).
Not only was The messengers a different, interesting show, it kept getting better week after week. There is definitely enough story line to go at least another season if not more.
Like others have said, it’s very sad that quality TV doesn’t seem to stand a chance!
This show caught me by the first episode! Taking this show off the air would be a crime, the show is very interesting it give you a sense of faith in the world. It’s heart stopping, if you take this show off it will be one the biggest mistake ever made.

Bring back for second season you just made it more interesting with the boy and little girl. It’s a good show I would love to see the outcome of the show as time went on. Out of all the shows on tv the messengers was the best one. I zombie wasn’t all that good.
I like the Messenger !!! I like the show and kinda hits home I mean look around and because a lot Christians believe that. Apocalypse is all ready here and happing !!! I for one kinda agree !!! So the show is cool and may help people feel better about what the hells going on in this world !!!
Please….. Please don’t cancel good shows and leave dumb shows on. ALL the time CW . YOU ALWAYS DO THIS. STOP IT. GIVE IT MORE TIME AND ADVERTISE THE SHOW LIKE THE SMUT OUT THERE that stays on and is stupider than The Messengers.

They are cancelling it because it is a Christian based show and the media is openly trying to destroy Christianity in any way they can.
Unfortunately it’s true. Christian based programs are truly the minority when it comes to television programming. At least on cable. Our family does not have cable and 98% of our channels are christian based. It’s marketing for cable . It’s sad really. This show is on network and cable so they are taking it away.

It appears that the CW has followed in the footsteps of the major networks, but just once, I’d like to see the networks give these shows a decent chance. I know that you have 5 new shows coming out in August, but I’m telling you now, I will not invest my time getting involved in any of them. I absolutely hate so called reality tv. This show should be on lots of people dont poll and what not and with dvr and such technology people like to watch meaningful shows as a group and disscuss when they can slow down and enjoy it. Im 34 and I personally know people in my age group that watch it and how can you end a show leaving so many things dangling. .
