You know that old line about “Please, don’t shoot the messenger”? Well, The CW has done just that. The network has cancelled The Messengers after one season. Only three episodes have aired thus far.
On The Messengers TV show, a mysterious object plummets to Earth and explodes in a blinding flash. It sends out a shock wave that instantly connects five strangers. They receive extraordinary gifts, from inexplicable strength to the ability to heal others. The cast includes Shantel VanSanten, Jon Fletcher, Sofia Black-D’Elia, J. D. Pardo, Joel Courtney, Anna Diop, and Diogo Morgado.
The move to cancel the series doesn’t come as much of a surprise. The Messengers has performed quite poorly so far, even for a Friday night show. Last week’s installment hit a new low with just 650,000 viewers and a 0.2 rating in the 18-49 demographic.
For now, it looks like the series will stay on the air to finish out its run of 13 total episodes.

Very sad that another show like this is cancelled. I started watching it on Netflix and liked it. I decided to check to see if the show was cancelled and it is. Man I hate starting to watch a show that has no ending.

Caught it on Netflix, amazing show, cast is great, plot is suspenseful, decent special affects, and love their powers. Please bring this show back!

I strongly agree that this show should have a second season. It’s amazing, it talks about the bible, God, & other mysterious things that’s interested to watch.
Please continue the series it is very good and I think other people will enjoy watch one it there’s people out there who actually like the show very much so please continue it was created very well thank you.
The series is Fantastic and interest. I so sad for known that was canceled the season 2. Please, restored, I intrigate. Is diferent and visionary drama. Every series is the same: terror, crash survivors and those think, but we need a vision for diferents styles join.

I really wish they wouldn’t have canceled it I just watched the whole thing on Netflix then read that they cancel the show after only 3 episode . come on cw pick the show back up or allow Netflix to . you didn’t even give messager a fair chance

The biggest thing I can find wrong with this show is the lack of creativity on the writers part. This like the 4400 writers can only find one continuously used word the kid in the show “sweety”. They must be the same writers who write for commercials thinking married couples constantly call each other honey. If this show is cancelled and those stupid mindless comedies like modern family, bob’s burgers, and a whole host of others then we as a country are in far worse shape than we thought.
