You know that old line about “Please, don’t shoot the messenger”? Well, The CW has done just that. The network has cancelled The Messengers after one season. Only three episodes have aired thus far.
On The Messengers TV show, a mysterious object plummets to Earth and explodes in a blinding flash. It sends out a shock wave that instantly connects five strangers. They receive extraordinary gifts, from inexplicable strength to the ability to heal others. The cast includes Shantel VanSanten, Jon Fletcher, Sofia Black-D’Elia, J. D. Pardo, Joel Courtney, Anna Diop, and Diogo Morgado.
The move to cancel the series doesn’t come as much of a surprise. The Messengers has performed quite poorly so far, even for a Friday night show. Last week’s installment hit a new low with just 650,000 viewers and a 0.2 rating in the 18-49 demographic.
For now, it looks like the series will stay on the air to finish out its run of 13 total episodes.

I am a big fan of this show. It’s sad that so many rediculous inane shows stay on air and the ones that really make you think & entertain get axed. I would love to see this show get picked up by any network. I would definitely watch.

I just want to say i loved the tv show. I didnt even know of it intill i got net flix but thats only because i worked third shift. If i knew of this before i would have watched it then. I just finished today the whole first season it took me three days only because i needed sleep and had daily duties to do The first day i watched it i was up all night till 7 in the morning the next day. I just woul like to say i for one loved it i didnt know of the tv show in till net flix but i never really watched much tv because i worked third shift. But if i knew this was on tv then i would had watched it. I have my own thoughts about god and the devil and angels and demons and so this movie really got my attention. I just finished watching the first season. I thought it was great! Please bring it back… On a side note, it’s ironic how Diogo Morgado plays Christ in The Bible series and satan in this…
To be honest I loved watching the messagers it a great TV show sad that the second season got cancel. I wanted to see what would happen with the Antichrist and the archangel. If they came out with a second season I would watch it

Bring it back! We’re not Christian but still found the show riveting. I hope maybe They can work out a deal with Netflix to bring it straight to them. Or maybe be like Sanctuary, where someone can bankroll some pay-per-view episodes until it gets picked up by a network.

Yall really need to make a season 2. CW didnt know what they were doing especially setting it up on a friday when people get home late and are out. They set it up for failure since the beginning doing that Netflix or a better programming needs to take it into there hands and make that season 2 happen for sure.
