You know that old line about “Please, don’t shoot the messenger”? Well, The CW has done just that. The network has cancelled The Messengers after one season. Only three episodes have aired thus far.
On The Messengers TV show, a mysterious object plummets to Earth and explodes in a blinding flash. It sends out a shock wave that instantly connects five strangers. They receive extraordinary gifts, from inexplicable strength to the ability to heal others. The cast includes Shantel VanSanten, Jon Fletcher, Sofia Black-D’Elia, J. D. Pardo, Joel Courtney, Anna Diop, and Diogo Morgado.
The move to cancel the series doesn’t come as much of a surprise. The Messengers has performed quite poorly so far, even for a Friday night show. Last week’s installment hit a new low with just 650,000 viewers and a 0.2 rating in the 18-49 demographic.
For now, it looks like the series will stay on the air to finish out its run of 13 total episodes.

I would have watched. It was poorly announced and…., (on dish the CW is not grouped with the others….916 most others are between 100 and 200 hbo and max 300-400 )
I watch every friday night inever miss i think if the cw would just give it a chance the ratings would pick up its one of my top 5 shows ill be sad if you cancel it.

Please don’t cancel The Messengers!!!
Quit watching after the 3-4th episode once it was cancelled. What’s the point in investing time in TV series that won’t go anywhere? I’m glad the network gave me a heads up instead of wasting more of my time on lame duck TV series.
My son and I watch this show together. I hate America top model. All the good show aren’t not getting renewed. Who wants to watch stupid people wanting to be come a model. Get rid of reality TV. This channel doesn’t need it. There are to many out there as it is. CW don’t get rid of the Messengers. Good show Three episodes is not a accurate decisions on a show.
You guys already got rid of Hart of Dixie my fav. show now you are getting of the messengers how dare you. You just lost my viewing rating

Jeez. I am just getting into this after seeing episode 2 here in Australia. It’s unique, it’s different and refreshing. Please don’t cancel this show. Why is it that we get crap to stay and not something with depth
I love this show! why do they have to cancel the good ones, three episodes is not very long to decide when it airs late in the season

I would love for CW to pick it back up. I really think it made un Religious not like it. It really was a good series and I watched all 9 episodes and fell in love with it. But I guess they have to find stupid things to air, Like reality TV??? I really wish they would reconsider and put the messengers back on…
Me and my daughter have fallen in love with this show. We dont watch the same shows too often. The cw is her favorite tv station. And its a bummer that they wont renew it. The show is so good. There are hardly any others like it on tv. Please have another network pick it up. This show has such potential.
I enjoyed this show because it took a different approach to answering some common questions relating to the bible. Shame it has been cancelled as the potential had to be comparable to the success enjoyed by Supernatural which is now in its tenth season.

My family and I love this show and are finishing the season. We really wish CW will change their view and mind and renew it up. I hope that some other network could pick it up or maybe one of the streaming network (Hulu and Netfliix) .
I think it was cancelled due to complaints from the government department as it paints them in their true demonic form hahaha. should be extended to 3 seasons if you ask me
