TV show description:
In this supernatural dramatic series, a mysterious object plummets to Earth and explodes in a blinding flash. It sends out a shock wave that instantly connects five strangers. They receive extraordinary gifts, from inexplicable strength to the ability to heal others.
In the white-hot sun of the New Mexico desert, scientist Vera Buckley (Shantel VanSanten) watches in fascination as a mysterious object plummets to Earth and explodes in a blinding flash, sending out a shock wave that briefly stops Vera’s heart and panics her techie coworker, Alan Harris (Craig Harris).
Vera is not the only one affected by the blast; she is instantly and mysteriously connected to four other strangers, who also collapse only to miraculously come back to life.
Erin Calder (Sofia Black-D’Elia) is a young mother who’s desperate to protect her seven-year-old daughter from an abusive ex-husband.
Peter Moore (Joel Courtney) is a troubled high school student who is finally able to end the constant bullying he can no longer endure
Raul Garcia (J. D. Pardo) is a federal agent who’s looking to escape his undercover assignment in a violent Mexican drug cartel.
Finally, Joshua Silburn, Jr. (Jon Fletcher) is a charismatic second-generation televangelist who’s following in his father’s footsteps.
Most mysterious of all is the figure known only as The Man (Diogo Morgado). He offers Vera the one thing she wants most in life -– to be reunited with her kidnapped son. This gift comes with a price however and he asks her to help him with one morally complicated task.
That task puts Vera on a collision course with nurse Rose Arvale (Anna Diop) who, after a seemingly random act of violence left her in a coma for seven years, suddenly begins to stir.
As Joshua Jr. prophesied, the wheels of Revelation have begun to turn, and these five newly christened Angels of the Apocalypse may be the only hope for preventing the impending Rapture.
Episode #13 — Houston We Have a Problem
The Messengers face off against the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, whose plan to break the fifth seal could destroy everything our heroes hold dear. It’s up to The Messengers to stop the Horsemen once and for all — at any cost.
First aired: July 24, 2015.
What do you think? Do you like The Messengers TV show? Do you think it should have been cancelled or renewed for a second season?
The Messengers should not have been canceled after the third show. The CW messed up by starting a new series in late April and on Friday nights. They also did a less than stellar job promoting it. The actions of the CW were what doomed the series. Too many people saw online that it was “cancelled” and didn’t even realize all of first season would air. Others saw online that it wouldn’t have a season two (right after episode 3!) These situations heavily affected getting new viewers. My family loved the series–it got us addicted from the start. Why are you canceling a good show?
I really liked this show. I just found out there were more episodes after a break and now to find out the series is not just ending for the season but has been cancelled. I’m so disappointed and very sad.
Yes l think it should come back there are so many questions
Please give this series a chance. I enjoyed this show and recently shared this with my FB friends just to learn about its canceling. Let it develop and watch the fan base grow. Just by my sharing close 200 friends watch the this series last 3 episodes.
Do not cancel The Messangers! My family likes this show the sad thing is 90% of the time we didn’t get a chance to watch it due to local basketball or baseball games.
Does anyone know how I can watch the first series? I have Netflix on my pc but couldn’t find it. I don’t have a smart tv either. Didn’t have sense enough to know there was a smarter one coming:)
google couchtuner
I never watched this series. Last night I caught the last 10 minutes and couldn’t believed I missed such a show. It reminded me of Frank Peretti’s books This Present Da rkness and Piercing the Darkness. If other people like me knew such a show was ,it would have been renewed. Remember I only saw 10 minutes of a show. It.s spiritual warfare what everyone goes through everyday to survive.

Renew the Messengers for a second season.
I am so disappointed that this show has been cancelled. I loved it because it was different. I wish the CW would reconsider. It seems that the only way to guarantee longevity on television, is to be a stupid ‘reality’ show.
I really enjoy this show, the story line had me going. I don’t feel CW gave this show a chance if they would reconsider for another season I am sure the ratings would go up.
Renewed, I really like the cast, and the story. Give it a chance,
I thoroughly enjoyed watching this show with my four children. WE were truly upset when we learned it had been cancelled by the network. WE have been hoping that another staion, or Netflix, would pick it up to continue it. We love the premise and all of the characters. Please re-consider!!
I have really enjoyed the series and was sorry to hear of its cancellation. I wish they would reconsider, the storyline is so unique. Not just another vampire show.
