TV show description:
In this supernatural dramatic series, a mysterious object plummets to Earth and explodes in a blinding flash. It sends out a shock wave that instantly connects five strangers. They receive extraordinary gifts, from inexplicable strength to the ability to heal others.
In the white-hot sun of the New Mexico desert, scientist Vera Buckley (Shantel VanSanten) watches in fascination as a mysterious object plummets to Earth and explodes in a blinding flash, sending out a shock wave that briefly stops Vera’s heart and panics her techie coworker, Alan Harris (Craig Harris).
Vera is not the only one affected by the blast; she is instantly and mysteriously connected to four other strangers, who also collapse only to miraculously come back to life.
Erin Calder (Sofia Black-D’Elia) is a young mother who’s desperate to protect her seven-year-old daughter from an abusive ex-husband.
Peter Moore (Joel Courtney) is a troubled high school student who is finally able to end the constant bullying he can no longer endure
Raul Garcia (J. D. Pardo) is a federal agent who’s looking to escape his undercover assignment in a violent Mexican drug cartel.
Finally, Joshua Silburn, Jr. (Jon Fletcher) is a charismatic second-generation televangelist who’s following in his father’s footsteps.
Most mysterious of all is the figure known only as The Man (Diogo Morgado). He offers Vera the one thing she wants most in life -– to be reunited with her kidnapped son. This gift comes with a price however and he asks her to help him with one morally complicated task.
That task puts Vera on a collision course with nurse Rose Arvale (Anna Diop) who, after a seemingly random act of violence left her in a coma for seven years, suddenly begins to stir.
As Joshua Jr. prophesied, the wheels of Revelation have begun to turn, and these five newly christened Angels of the Apocalypse may be the only hope for preventing the impending Rapture.
Episode #13 — Houston We Have a Problem
The Messengers face off against the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, whose plan to break the fifth seal could destroy everything our heroes hold dear. It’s up to The Messengers to stop the Horsemen once and for all — at any cost.
First aired: July 24, 2015.
What do you think? Do you like The Messengers TV show? Do you think it should have been cancelled or renewed for a second season?
RENEWED
We wish! Would still be watching the CW if it were renewed.
You gave up way to early on this…… First season seemed to move quickly… Give it another chance . Slow down and dive deeper into the characters; give a whole noght yo one character to follow. Stop the jumping to quickly through
i think it should not have been cancelled, its quite an eyeopener
I really enjoyed this show and would love to see more of it. It left us with so many questions. Why cancel a good show to put something that’s not worth watching. This is worth watching it’s about humanity something that we need to know more about. It’s really a great show will love to see this going again for sure!!
Heck nooooooo!! I love this show. Just like how I love supernatural. Messengers is a great show. I’m highly disappointed in the CW.they gave me my favorite show supernatural but take away my 2nd favorite the messengers. This is so not right. Need to learn what is good before they cancle things. Outraged by this.
I love this show and didn’t even know it was canceled till I looked here wondering why it wasn’t on, I hate when they start something they cant finish. I’m offended they pull anything dealing with Christianity, and put on stupidity and smut.
Pam, the show was SO good on many levels! Not shallow enough to stay on, I guess.
i really like this show my daughter and her husband also likes this show. Please don,t cancel

Anything that has to do with god they want to rid it from us..can’t anyone see!!!
Yes, I see; that is truth !
I loved the show! So many GREAT shows are canceled. Look at NCIS..it had a bad start and look at it Now!
I really love this show and am very disappointed. .yet again…to be left hanging by another network. I guess if it’s not reality TV no one in this society likes it.
I really enjoyed the show and was very sad to hear that it was being cancelled. Please renew for a second season.
How do we contact CBS about it?
Might try this:
CBS Studio Center
4024 Radford Avenue
Studio City, CA 91604
Tel: (818) 655-5000
I really am not sure, but this might get you to the right place.
I agree, do a search for a petition to sign to keep the Messengers on. That’s what I did!
You cannot cancel this show. One of the few shows that started off with a bang. I love it. Give it another chance.
Hey everyone, go here and complain. Maybe they will listen.

T. Apparently, the CW doesn’t even have anything to do with it any more. However, CBS Studios could get it going if they were to pursue a better home for the show!
