TV show description:
In this supernatural dramatic series, a mysterious object plummets to Earth and explodes in a blinding flash. It sends out a shock wave that instantly connects five strangers. They receive extraordinary gifts, from inexplicable strength to the ability to heal others.
In the white-hot sun of the New Mexico desert, scientist Vera Buckley (Shantel VanSanten) watches in fascination as a mysterious object plummets to Earth and explodes in a blinding flash, sending out a shock wave that briefly stops Vera’s heart and panics her techie coworker, Alan Harris (Craig Harris).
Vera is not the only one affected by the blast; she is instantly and mysteriously connected to four other strangers, who also collapse only to miraculously come back to life.
Erin Calder (Sofia Black-D’Elia) is a young mother who’s desperate to protect her seven-year-old daughter from an abusive ex-husband.
Peter Moore (Joel Courtney) is a troubled high school student who is finally able to end the constant bullying he can no longer endure
Raul Garcia (J. D. Pardo) is a federal agent who’s looking to escape his undercover assignment in a violent Mexican drug cartel.
Finally, Joshua Silburn, Jr. (Jon Fletcher) is a charismatic second-generation televangelist who’s following in his father’s footsteps.
Most mysterious of all is the figure known only as The Man (Diogo Morgado). He offers Vera the one thing she wants most in life -– to be reunited with her kidnapped son. This gift comes with a price however and he asks her to help him with one morally complicated task.
That task puts Vera on a collision course with nurse Rose Arvale (Anna Diop) who, after a seemingly random act of violence left her in a coma for seven years, suddenly begins to stir.
As Joshua Jr. prophesied, the wheels of Revelation have begun to turn, and these five newly christened Angels of the Apocalypse may be the only hope for preventing the impending Rapture.
Episode #13 — Houston We Have a Problem
The Messengers face off against the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, whose plan to break the fifth seal could destroy everything our heroes hold dear. It’s up to The Messengers to stop the Horsemen once and for all — at any cost.
First aired: July 24, 2015.
What do you think? Do you like The Messengers TV show? Do you think it should have been cancelled or renewed for a second season?
What is sad is Fox with promote Lucifer as a cool guy not evil but CW will cancel a show with Good over coming evil. What is wrong with these guys. Bring the Messengers back please.
I agree Megan, less of Kardashians and people running around naked with cameramen following (who does that?!).
I really really like the series “THE MESSENGERS “. It has brought up questions about the Bible, which is always a good thing, also this series has brought my family together with questions. I love that. I want series 2. I want the producers and the crew to create the rest of the story. Series 1 left alot open for a series 2 and I love the show. Keep it based on Revelations and of course add in your own to make it odd and interesting. Please, please make series 2. If you want season 2 to be the finale… Read more »
Seems they have been cancelling a lot of good shows/series and keeping worthless “reality” shows. Messengers and Forever should have been renewed. What moron(s) make these decisions?
Wish it would have been a hit as there aren’t many other TV shows that have a message of GOOD out there. Makes me worry about our world more than ever.
Loved the show wish it had another season
This show is awesome. I can’t believe it was cancelled
i LOVE THE SHOW…LOVE THE PLOT..LOVE THE CHARACTERS…why did they cancelled it?please could you bring it back?I’m dying to watch the episodes
I LOVE THE MESSENGERS. PLEASE BRING IT BACK.
please bring back The Messengers .We need hope now more than ever. lease bring it back.
Really liked this show bring back The Messengers
I loved the show it taught about the ways we ourselves may be destroying the planet
It is a travesty that they threw out this show there was so much more to see. It’s like anything to do with bible and God don’t make it anymore. They’ll all be sorry when the Lord comes back that they didn’t have more to learn from.
They need to bring back this show. It’s The CW fault for the low rating. Putting it on on FRIDAY NIGHT… when the weather was finally getting good. Stupid move. They should have put it on during the middle of the week, to give it a chance.
Yes you are so right, “the powers that be” are always doing things like this. My gosh look at all this, how many people watch this show and for that matter do they even factor in the ones like us who dvr every show? How do they count those, is there a way to count them as viewers? and even if with the new cable boxes it is possible, do they even bother count them? Stupid network, I think whoever picks this show up will be laughing all the way to the bank!
Please bring back this show I love it so much. There is too much story left to be told give the people a chance. All you people thing about is rating. This is one of the best show relating to the bible. Any thing that is godly is good but you guys prefer to leave the crap on tv because the crap gets better rating, well I prefer to see a good show than watching the same crap all the time. And maybe if you put it on main stream tv you would get a better audience. Its not everybody… Read more »
