It looks like CBS is cleaning off their shelves before the start of the new fall season. The network has announced plans to air the remaining unaired episodes of cancelled comedies The McCarthys and The Millers on Saturday nights in July.
There are six episodes remaining from the second season of The Millers. They’ll air in pairs starting at 8pm, on July 4th, July 11th, and July 18th.
Set in Leesburg, Virginia, The Millers follows a local TV news reporter (Will Arnett) who’s been hiding his recent divorce from his parents. When they hear the news, his dad (Beau Bridges) his mom (Margo Martindale) are inspired to separate and each move in with their kids. The rest of the sitcom’s cast includes J.B. Smoove, Jayma Mays, Nelson Franklin, Lulu Wilson, and Sean Hayes.
There are just four remaining installments of The McCarthys. They’ll air in pairs starting at 9pm on July 4th and July 11th.
The McCarthys revolves around sports-crazed family from Boston. Athletically-challenged and gay son Ronny (Tyler Ritter) plans to finally move away to start his own life. Those plans are thrown into turmoil when his basketball coach dad (Jack McGee) offers him a job as assistant coach — much to the dismay of Ronny’s siblings. The sitcom also stars Laurie Metcalf, Jimmy Dunn, Joey McIntyre, and Kelen Coleman.
What do you think? Do you plan to watch the leftover episodes of these sitcoms? Do you think either of them should have been cancelled?
This is crazy. I just tried to post a comment and the site erased it. I said that you did not give these shows a fair enough chance to build an audience. Give them some time. You all must be too young and in a hurry
These shows were very funny and I don’t understand why they cancelled. You did not show enough shows to build an audience. Too much in a hurry. Must be very young.
