NBC is hoping to make a big splash in the ratings by airing The Million Second Quiz as an event over the course of several consecutive nights. Will their gamble pay off or will it be cancelled after one season? Stay tuned.
Hosted by Ryan Seacrest, Million Second Quiz will run on NBC for 10 nights — from Monday, September 9th until Thursday, September 19th. (There’s no show scheduled for the Sunday, the 15th.)
This post will be updated automatically as new ratings data becomes available — typically the following morning, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.
Note: Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.
What do you think? Do you like The Million Second Quiz TV series? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for a second season?
Rumor has it that the show has already been renewed for two more seasons…Any word on if this is true?
I haven’t heard that. Personally, I’d be kinda surprised if it was renewed at all. It’s performed terribly.
Interesting, the wonderful people over a BuzzerBlog said that apparently the show has already been renewed for two more season! Yeah, ratings have been pretty bad but I just don;t NBC ditching it yet, since they could fix it!
The reference to the renewal that I saw was skeptical at best.
You got that right admin! Game Shows are pretty much dead thanks to Winfrey and Springer, with the exceptions being the usual suspects of course.
Watched a couple of episodes – the format was kind of confusing to me. Didn’t grab me and make me think I ‘have” to watch it.
Fire the dullard; hire Regis.
Not even Alex Trebek could save that show, and he is wayyyyyy better than that hack Regis! Hell, Kathy-Lee was probably the more talented of that duo too for that matter!
