Is Brad Wolgast doing the right thing during the first season of The Passage TV show on FOX? As we all know, the Nielsen ratings typically play a big role in determining whether a TV show like The Passage is cancelled or renewed for season two. Unfortunately, most of us do not live in Nielsen households. Because many viewers feel frustration when their viewing habits and opinions aren’t considered, we’d like to offer you the chance to rate all of season one episodes of The Passage below. *Status update below.
A FOX drama based on the Justin Cronin book trilogy, The Passage stars Mark-Paul Gosselaar, Saniyya Sidney, Vincent Piazza, Brianne Howey, Caroline Chikezie, Jamie McShane, Emmanuelle Chriqui, McKinley Belcher III, and Henry Ian Cusick. The story centers on Project NOAH, where scientists are working on a virus that may either cure humanity of all disease, or wipe it out entirely. When Federal Agent Brad Wolgast (Gosselaar) is assigned to bring in Amy Bellafonte (Sidney) as a new test subject, he develops fatherly feelings for the child. Meanwhile, the new race of creatures locked up in Project NOAH are testing out their powers and working toward an escape.
What do you think? Which season one episodes of The Passage TV series do you rate as wonderful, terrible, or somewhere between? Should FOX cancel or renew The Passage for a second season? Don’t forget to vote, and share your thoughts, below.
*5/10/19 update: FOX has cancelled The Passage TV show.
Hope to see second season . Please don’t canceled.
I like the series so far it looks like it’s going to get very interesting it would love to see the second season
I like the show, but would have preferred the tv writers had stayed closer to the tale told by the author (Justin Cronin). The books are riveting; the tv version…so-so. Example: why re-write the relationship between Wolgast and his ex-wife? Why have Elizabeth turn up as an Alzheimer’s patient at the compound? I could go on with other examples that are crucial in the books, but I am willing to see how it plays out.
Please don’t cancel best one yet
Please renew for another season, we love it!
One of the best of the new season. Does a great job staying true to the books. Eagerly await each new episode. Dont cancel
I love this show!! Always loved vampire shows but this one is interesting and unique from any other vampire show I have ever saw!!! I hope they keep them coming, I get excited every week for this show!! Just like I do for got and the outlander series. The passage to me is up there with them.
I totally agree!!!
I totally disagree
I have not followed a regular network show and a very long time. I absolutely love the show. It has so much potential! I could even call the way and become an apocalyptic series.
I love this series! I really hope they give it a chance to work its magic! =D I’ll be pretty upset if they don’t at least give it a second season!
Love the conflict, tension and emotion. The humanity that tugs against the monstrous impulses and actions. (Not only within the Virals, but the choices/emotions of science and government.) A father who lost a child – a child who lost a parent, and the bond forged from that grief. And THE CHEMISTRY!! In my opinion, (as a “not-too-snobbish” writer, and sometimes-snobbish reader/fan of the books) the story IS there. Of course, as avid ‘Passage-rs’, we can ALWAYS find fault – take our fave personal scene and pick it apart. It’s like that with EVERY show/movie “based on the book by…” I… Read more »
Love this show one of the very best so far on TV I never miss an episode. Love the story line, love the acting, keep the heart pounding gotta have more episodes coming…..
I loved the first episode. Love the character Mark-Paul plays. I’m not going to like his getting knocked off in the 4th episode (coming up) and don’t know if the rest of the cast and the plot will be worth my time.
He doesn’t get killed off.
Yeah, I’m not sure who told you he gets “knocked off,” but that would kind of defeat the relationship/tension building the writers have been doing this entire time. ;D I just watched the most recent ep (You Are Like The Sun) and there are no deaths in the series, so far, that aren’t… justified and smart. There’s nothing so unbearably difficult that it would destroy the chemistry and the interplay between all of these characters. =D Get back to it, if you liked the opening episode, you’ll love the rest of these! And… don’t listen to whoever has been giving… Read more »
I loved it! Can’t wait for the next episode.
Took every last interesting idea from the book and deleted it, leaving an incomprehensible mess of an episode.
Wow, I find that incredibly hard to believe! I’ll say this, I’ve not read the book — can’t read ’em all, and when you teach classical lit, you don’t always get the time you want to indulge in this kind of fiction, but! While I don’t find all the ideas stunningly “new” (being a giant Rice, Poppy Z. Brite, Laurell K. Hamilton, speaking of more current fiction (than say, Stoker, etc.) ;D), I the story incredibly compelling, and the relationship between Wolgast and Amy almost addictive. =D I’ve been around enough to see really good fiction become really bad TV,… Read more »
The books are amazing – you won’t regret making time to read them.
Agree.
I really liked the first show of The Passage!
