E! has gotten into the “original scripted drama” business with The Royals and even renewed the show for a second season, well before the series debuted. Will they regret that decision? Will it be a ratings success or a flop that they will wish they’d cancelled? Stay tuned.
The Royals series revolves around a fictional British royal family in modern day London. They inhabit a world of opulence that caters to their every desire, but one that also comes with a price tag of duty, destiny, and intense public scrutiny. The cast includes Vincent Regan, Elizabeth Hurley, William Moseley, Alexandra Park, Tom Austen, Merritt Patterson, Oliver Milburn, Jake Maskall, and Joan Collins.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s chances of staying on the air. The higher the ratings, the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available.
Final season averages: 0.50 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 1.15 million total viewers.
