TV show description:
This dramatic series revolves around a generation of humans who have been born with paranormal abilities.
Up until a year ago, Stephen Jameson (Robbie Amell) was a regular teenager but one day, he began hearing voices and teleporting in his sleep. He never knew where he might wake up. Now, Stephen’s issues have gone far beyond the usual teenage angst, and he’s beginning to question his sanity.
Out of desperation, Stephen decides to listen to one of the voices in his head, and it leads him to his first encounter with John (Luke Mitchell), Cara (Peyton List), and Russell (Aaron Yoo) — the Tomorrow People. They’re a genetically advanced race with the abilities of telekinesis, teleportation and telepathic communication.
The Tomorrow People are being hunted down by a paramilitary group of scientists known as Ultra. Led by Dr. Jedikiah Price (Mark Pellegrino), Ultra sees the Tomorrow People as a very real existential threat from a rival species, and the outcast group has been forced to secretly live in an abandoned subway station just beneath the surface.
Trading in secrets, Jedikiah offers Stephen the chance for a normal life with his family and best friend, Astrid (Madeleine Mantock), but only if he will help in the struggle to isolate and eradicate the Tomorrow People.
On the other hand, Cara, John and Russell offer Stephen a different type of family and a home where he truly belongs.
Unwilling to turn his back on humanity or the world of the Tomorrow People, Stephen sets out on his own path — a journey that may take him into the shadowy past to uncover the truth about his father’s mysterious disappearance.
Episode #22 — “Son of Man”
Russell realizes his alliance with The Founder (guest star Simon Merrells) was a mistake, and tries to make up for his decision by saving Cara from an Ultra ambush. Stephen understands that he must be the one to stop The Machine and the extermination of humanity, but he fears he may be too late. Russell offers up a plan to help Stephen, but he is going to need everyone’s help, including John and Astrid, if they are going to have any chance to survive. Meanwhile, Jedikiah offers John an interesting opportunity that could have them working together again.
First aired: May 5, 2014.
What do you think? Do you like The Tomorrow People TV series? Do you think it should have been cancelled or renewed for a second season?
this is a great show it should continue what a loss.
I was so happy just now when I read that you are not going to cancel another one of my favorite shows on the CW.
Was supprised when I herd it was cancled .. it shoyls of not happened I was a great show, was waiting for what was going to happen next, so dissapointed! !!
The Tomorrow People….great show….it needs to be renewed for another season..it would be a shame not to bring it back
WELL IS THERE A CHANCE FOR ANOTHER SEASON??? ON ANOTHER PAGE OF THIS SITE, I SAW NOT CANCELLED. THIS SHOW IS INTELLIGENT, WELL WRITTEN & CURRENT FOR ANY TYPE OF AGE GROUP. I BELIEVE THAT THE RATINGS ARE REVOLVING AROUND YOUNG TEENS & UNDER 30. MANY YOUNG PEOPLE ARE OUT PARTYING & IF GOING TO SCHOOL, HAVE TO DO HOMEWORK & STUDY. SINCE THE TOMORROW PEOPLE PRODUCERS CHANGED THE DAY OF THE WEEK & TIME, MANY VIEWERS WERE LOST IN THE SHUFFLE. THIS SHOW HAS IT ALL & APPEALS TO DIFFERENT AGE GROUPS. WHO IS NOT INTERESTED IN TELEPATHY, TELEKENEIS,… Read more »
This show shouldn’t have been canceled. I loved this show and was waiting for the show to come back on. Whoever canceled this show made a huge mistake.
Renew please!
I have seen from the very first episode and I am hoping that there will be second season as well. I have seen the same conflicting stories either they are back for a second season or they are cancelled.
It should be renewed this is another program that I enjoy very much and I would like to continue seeing more seasons to come and find out what else the Tomorrow People can do to survive.
I think if they made the Story lines better and got more of the 70’s cast in the show(IE my mates Mike Holoway and Peter vaughan clarke) it would appeal to the old series fans who were rather dissapointed with all the bed hopping and fighting. The Tomorrow People cannot fight or cause harm. Some of the plot lines were bad. I mean Stephens dad walking around five minutes after being frozen for twenty years come on scriptwriters. Check your medical facts first. And why were the 70’s cast not in it apart from Nick young. They could hve played… Read more »
Although The Tomorrow People is a great show, it has come to its logical conclusion. I think that Channel 11 thought it was going to end too. It didn’t want to get caught out there like it did with Nikita where it left all the viewers hanging and was forced to make 6 more shows before cancelling the series.
Renewed please <3
I’m with marlo , tomorrow people is a great show to watch and the actors/actress are what holds it together. these young actors are and should be the actors of tomorrow. Sign me up for this show to continue
Definitely it should NOT be cancelled. Really enjoyed this show, I want to know what happens. I have been waiting for season 2 and just read it was cancelled. What’s up with that. That’s just terrible, and unfair.
I’m reading conflicting stories of whether or not The Tomorrow People was cancelled. If there is a petition to put this show back on air, please let me know so I can sign it! This is a wonderfully imaginative show for the whole family to watch. It’s a shame to cancel such a great show in lieu of more gore, boring drawn out drama, and reality schmuck!
