ABC has renewed The View TV series for a 20th season. Effectively immediately, Candi Carter has been named Executive Producer of the daytime talk show (pictured below). The View is led by moderator Whoopi Goldberg, with co-hosts Joy Behar, Candace Cameron Bure, Michelle Collins, Paula Faris, and Raven-Symoné.
“It’s an honor to be part of the extraordinary legacy built by Barbara Walters, the exceptional, funny and smart women at the table led by Whoopi Goldberg, and a terrific team behind the scenes,” said Carter. “Every day is a thrill.”
THE VIEW – (2.23.16) ABC has renewed “The View” for an epic 20th season, and Candi Carter was officially named its executive producer, effective immediately. “The View” airs Monday-Friday (11:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon, ET) on the ABC Television Network.

Candi Carter Named Executive Producer of “The View”
ABC has renewed “The View” for an epic 20th season, and Candi Carter was officially named executive producer of “The View,” effective immediately.
“This season ‘The View’ has once again been at the very heart of the political conversation and cultural conversation in America,” said James Goldston, president, ABC News. “Candi and the team have worked tirelessly to make ‘The View’ the place to be heard for an impressive roster of celebrities, politicians and people in the news.”
Carter joined the show last August, serving as the interim showrunner. She has extensive television credits with over two decades of experience, best known for her work as a senior/supervising producer at “The Oprah Winfrey Show” for over 15 years. She’s overseen a wide range of programming, from big events and musical performances to fashion and talent shows and surprise reunions. Carter executive-produced breaking news programs, specials and live town halls, including a Hurricane Katrina anniversary special, for BET.

Under the leadership of Carter, executive consultant Hilary Estey McLoughlin and co-executive producer Brian Teta, “The View” has kicked off 2016 with its highest ratings in almost a year. In the most recent ratings available (the week of February 8, 2016), “The View” ranked No. 1 in Total Viewers (2.974 million) for the 2nd week in a row, more than tripling its lead over “The Talk” week to week (+268% -70,000 vs. 19,000 for w/o 2/1/16). In addition, “The View” (433,000) beat “The Talk” (423,000) in Women 18-49 (+8,000) for the 4th time in the last 6 weeks. “The View” has out-delivered its November Sweep performance across the board in all 6 weeks of 2016.

I pray The View is not cancelled! It is my go to show better than MSNBC. Woopie does a spectacular job keeping the topics rolling. I would be so sad if they take them off the air. Those na-sayers are not able to handle the “truths” they speak and probably do not like the guests that tell the truth as to what is happening in DC!!! Please do not succumb to the pressure from this group of downers. Stand strong and put back the show! !

I have enjoyed The View for many years and want it back. All on The View should be free to express themselves & most are very good about NOT being mean about their guests. I have always thought Megan McCain very arrogant & has an attitude of superiority and we should all be aware of her & people like her but many times, I have turned show off when she goes too far. I have been watching the View for approximately 4-5 years and always looked forward to watching the show before Megan joined the group. I Love Whoopi and Joy and appreciate them sharing their opinion regarding politics . I love Sunny adding her legal knowledge to the group and Sara’s beautiful energy and her unique way of finding the positive in everything. Megan is rude, she interrupts the other ladies and doesn’t allow anyone to share their opinion without her interrupting and pushing her point of view on everyone. Who died and left Megan boss? Her attitude sucks! She’s rude, mean and offensive. She operates like a drill Sargent. The show has existed for 20 yrs. without her. How dare her remotely suggest, “what she wants too talk about.” She’s neither the director or producer of the, View. At least Jedediah had a heart. Please, “GET RID OF MEGAN!”
This show is contributing to the political divide in our country and Whoopi Goldberg and Joy Behar are leading it. I have never in my life seen such one sided, biased, political vitriol spewed forth ever in a television show. My wife quit watching years ago. I have semi retired and don’t normally view daytime television, but have tuned into this on occasion to see what all the fuss is about. I hope it is canceled.. I quit watching it after Candice Cameron was attacked by that mouthy woman Joy.+. Whoopi .. and your audiance BOOED her made me ANGEY… They make me want to puke! It is Not fun to watch anymore. It is a Joke..and not a funny one! I do not care what any of them say.
